The Heart Grows Fonder

For those who've hoping for real romance. This chapter has some. ;-)
I realize the inaccuracies here. I had a friend who spent time in a maximum security prison, so I know a bit about the policies and whatnot. Of course, gender segregation is pretty much essential, but I needed these two convicts together, so I bent the rules. (I guess criminals are just more civil in this place.) I also allowed Kylie a band for her hair, because it would be hard to identify her otherwise.
The characters here may have seemed minor or simply ghosts of the past. Raidon and Merideth may have been arrested 5 years ago, but their part in this whole mess is not even close to over. If you don't recall these two, they appeared in a flashback, and we saw Raidon recently when Yuki and Kaida visited him in prison.
Btw, the last panel contains Kylie, Sean (whom I seriously considered killing off in the hostage chapter…), and a couple of Yuki's enemies from chapter 16.
JNP: Makes me wonder if I am just bitter– going to lengths to keep fictional people apart. Lol
Lonnehart: There is some scary stuff out there, especially for women/girls. I don't like to be alone outside after dark. (My brother doesn't understand why I'm paranoid.)
LanceDanger: They'll just have to have that exchange “for real” at a better time and place…
Peipei: It was one of those “last chance” confessions,so as long as there are more chances now, Brad will be fine.
Tantz: For my story I needed some kind of incapacitating drug. It was the first thing to come to mind, but I had to look it up for details. (Earlier in my story, I had to research digitalis for specific overdose effects.)
Locoma: Shhh! Lol
amanda: Crisis-driven, drug-induced love confessions don't count. (It's sort of like finding out someone's feelings by reading their diary.)
dueeast: True. Assuming Yuki's expressions were from the heart, Brad at least knows his efforts aren't in vain.
trev: Is it getting obvious that I watch way too many of those hour long primetime shows? Lol
patrickdevine: She is pretty sharp from time to time. :-)
worstcase: Thanks.
n_y_japlander: They call the armor “Jeff.” He's a permanent fixture in the bookstore. ^_^

:) how long does it take you to make a page? You update so much! How do you find the time?

(OO) what ever happened to reform? That is the problem with prisons, they breed criminals!!! (^O^) awesome page! Looks like it took forever to do!

Yes, you totally watch too much primetime TV. ;) So, a subplot about people on the inside of "the joint," eh? I wonder how this will tie back in....
Tantz_Aerine at 6:03AM, March 6, 2008
It works perfectly. It's the simple things that have the feel of realism ;)

Excellent squishing-of-the-grape. Grapes are so gross. Anything that pops like that when you eat it should not be allowed! /soapbox Looks like this will unfold interestingly - especially if they recruit Kylie...I wonder where her loyalties will lie.
Peipei at 1:16AM, March 6, 2008
Ack! They should've put them in solitary confinement xD Now they are sure to cause a ruckus in jail lol :s They'll find dozens of new recruits in here

The heart grows fonder... for VIOLENCE! hehe I love it when the baddies squish a fruit like that ^_^ Chibis at the top are funny :3

Oh my, they are mean 0_0 I feel they're actually more dangerous in prison than they are outside, seeing as they are recruiting 0_o
