For anyone who missed it, Seiko got a nasty owie on the last page. (It was quick and silent. He's good at that… It was also poorly drawn, but, um, I blame Fudo for that too. XD )
Fudo has actually put on a little weight since we last saw him. (Not counting flashbacks. ;-) ) The reason for it is that when their paths last crossed, Seiko left him some supplies and took him on as a “patient.” (So, apparently, he has followed some of her advice on keeping himself alive and strong.)– Panel 1 turned out really well, imo. I wanted to capture how gently he was leaning Seiko against the tree. Yeah, it's a little … contradictory, but it's meant to be.
Oh, and a couple Used Books cameos over on Due East – witnessing a bit of violence, I'm afraid.
ghostrunner: Foul! The man needs a time-out!
LanceDanger: Not at all… She sorta knew better but did it anyway.
blntmaker: Silence can be pretty powerful. When something is deeply affecting, there are no words, just emotion. (An effect I've learned to love about this medium. Can't pull off the same effect in prose.)
Peipei: Her cold might not be such an issue at this point. :-(
Tantz: Or expedited – depending on your definition of “rest.”
amanda: She's a strange one. That's for sure.
n_y_japlander: No time for broken bones and literature. Fudo cuts straight to the chase.
trevor: Well, the good news is she stopped sneezing…
patrickdevine: Thanks. She did go through a few emotions there.
Molly: Mmmm… Fizzy cola. The light side has cookies and milk, though. We like cookies.
JustNoPoint: Unfortunately, his bedside manner leaves something to be desired.
Locoma: Thanks. I really like drawing “wet hair.” I think Seiko turned out nicely in this chapter.

... Not Seiko! Let this be a lesson, don't help people. Especially not ninja-commandoes from hell.

I didn't notice her wound until just now - oh wow! Don't kill her off. I have a cameo planned for her in @$$hole! pretty soon. :P

Geez! What a punk - I mean, from a twisted villain standpoint, I can understand...sort of. But Seiko is *awesome* so she better not die.
JustNoPoint at 7:14AM, March 20, 2008
I didn't notice the stab last page till now either =p Cool turn! Makes me like Fudo even more! Not that I dislike Seiko, I just tend to like certain "villain" types.

This *is* a good page. Now the last frame on the previous page clicks much better for me (I admit, I was clueless -- blast you, Fudo!). Great dialogue from Fudo and introspection from Seiko. The art perspectives are nice, too. :)
Peipei at 3:09AM, March 20, 2008
Gah! I didn't see that coming o.o Fudo is terrible ; ; Seiko didn't do anything wrong. All she wanted was to help him, and this is what happens? -.- Kill Fudo! xD
Molly Loves the KLF at 2:14AM, March 20, 2008
Poor Seiko!! Damn you Fudo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ACk he's so frustrating. GAHHHH
n_y_japlander at 1:07AM, March 20, 2008
(-_-) FUDOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! WHY?!?!?!?! I would have to wholeheartedly agree with Lance Danger!!!! *to Fudo* dude can't you see she is the ONLY one who cares about you?!?!?! not your services, but YOU!?!?!?!?! and just when I started to like Fudo... he has to throw a wrench in the works....
