People have different reactions to extreme emotion. As a teen, when I was overwhelmed, I would go outside and either climb trees or go for a walk. However, I lived in a more rural area than Seiko, and it may not be wise to bolt, distraught, into the dark streets in one's pajamas…

Oh, and Brad is not a tactful man. He means well. He really does. He just gets very angry/passionate when there is a murderer afoot.

n_y_japlander: Yuki is a friend but also very much aware of Kaida's capabilities. This is not the first time Kaida has been suspect since her “retirement.”

LanceDanger: There's no need to handle Kaida with kid gloves. In fact, she would probably be angry if they tried to be sly in their questioning or dance around the issue.

Tantz: This turn of events is particularly convenient for Kaida. Tucker Nash was investigating a crime that she committed. That paired with her history of violence made Kaida a strong suspect.

Peipei: Yuki and Kaida have very few secrets from each other, so if Kaida says she didn't do it, Yuki will take her word for it. She probably came to Kaida first to assure herself of her innocence before delving into the case.

amanda: This may be the last straw.

trevor: Seiko borders on childlike sometimes – reverting to the twelve year old orphan.
