I was sure “coy” was the word I wanted to use, but I never really thought about the full definition, so I looked it up out of curiosity – All three definitions could apply to Seiko from time to time.
From Encarta.com:
“1. evasive: annoyingly reluctant to make a commitment or to divulge something
2. pretending to be shy: pretending, in a teasing or provocative way, to be reserved or modest
3. shy: shy or reserved in social situations”
ghostrunner: I said "aside from the company,“ silly! – Meaning his apartment has better company than jail. (I don't know what your definition of ”better" is, but…)
n_y_japlander: She usually has a pretty positive outlook – and her own unique brand of logic.
LanceDanger: She's very different from her sister. :-)
Peipei: Seiko has a different perspective on the world. Until she explains her train of logic (and sometimes even after that), she seems a bit nuts.
amanda: Originally, I was going to have Seiko alone, but it dawned on me that Violet lives in that town and would most likely be hanging around – considering her connections to Seiko and to Detective Nash. (This is a case of a character writing herself into a scene.)

This chapter is awesome so far. I mean they all have been together since day 1 and suddenly things don't look so solid anymore... which makes sense if you look at their pasts

So... let us see if Seiko "fights fate"... I think she has already made up her mind about Tristan, and she will do what she wants, regardless of the coin toss... (^O^)

I agree with Peipei about Tristan... :)

Now thats just not true :3. You're causing them grief now that you are gone xD. And I think Violet was talking about Tristan ;)...hehe

Well, Violet's the type to write herself in, so this development makes sense. ^.^ I like "coy" as an adjective. It's a good word. Also: I want a polka-dot umbrella (though I know I'd never use it - I like the rain, too).
