I had a lot of different ideas for Hecate. I considered several types of guarding breeds, a rottweiler, pit bull, mastiff, German Shepherd, etc. But something about the sleek, lean power of a Dobermann seemed to fit Raidon's tastes better than a larger/heftier animal.

Brogan: Thanks. That's what I was going for. :-)

patrick: Seiko doesn't know how to pick a lock. They didn't offer any courses in lock picking in her PhD programs. XD She thinks she can do anything, despite having neither skill nor know-how.

DAJB -) ) Also, you can't tell by these pages, but it is actually a fairly large property to patrol.

dueeast: Thanks. I had trouble figuring out the lighting.

trevor: My original plans were to alert Raidon with an alarm, but the dog provides a more tangible danger as well as a demonstration of Raidon's character. (He is a man who makes use of “living weapons” to distance himself from violence/blame.) – I have a habit of using animals to emphasize character traits, be metaphors, foreshadow plot, etc.

LanceDanger: He hangs out with a bad influence. XD

ghostrunner: Bodies 'N Bits.
