I don't think this page is a “twist,” but my friend did. I was actually pretty surprised, because the plot has evolved without any real complications or curves. Meredith was given a clear assignment and carried it out in a very straightforward manner. (And the chapter title is also a dead giveaway.) – If this comes as a twist, that's fine too.
Please take a look on what I've been doing with character bios. I currently have 26 bios posted along with behind-the-scenes development notes – including ones for every character on this page. ~_^
Used Books made it into the top 100 at DrunkDuck again. :-) I'm pretty excited about that, but it'll drop back down soon enough.
Warpedwenger: Thanks, but there is room for improvement and a lot of stuff I'm not comfortable drawing yet.
blntmaker: Long nails and stiletto heels are the best fashion accessories for a sadist.
patoborracho isn't he? XD
Peipei: That's true, but it is unlikely to survive this type of gunshot. Hollow-tip bullets are explosive and were designed to be especially fatal. They were designed for hunting, so the animal wouldn't suffer. (They are illegal for use against people – like in warfare or by law officials.)
amanda: Not a pretty picture. -_- It would serve as an epic warning but really hurt the park's PR…
Jonko: Passers-by are unlikely. Mike does have someone watching out for him – unfortunately, he's the other fellow with the gun to his head.
LanceDanger: Aw. Speechless? Here's some more fun.
patrickdevine: Most of the time, I just write off the top of my head. Usually the first script flows naturally and says what I want, but that page didn't feel right. (Plus, my original plans for the plot changed, so I needed clear resolution on the Mina thing.) Rewrites are needed from time to time.
ttyler: Thanks.
JustNoPoint: Meredith's lines are fun to write. ^_^ The handcuffing and showing Mike the bullet was the scene I designed the entire chapter around. I researched ballistics for this chapter, too. (Only the best for Meredith.)

Lurking around the restrooms? Each to his own, I guess! ;-)

Some of the coolest coloring is right here!!! It just goes so well with your style.
blntmaker at 7:21PM, April 21, 2009
Top 100? Congrats! This page is excellent by the way - I really do love the way you do colors. I think I made it in the top 100 ONCE... Great times, Vickie. Have you thought about posting the bios in a wiki?

just before the gunshot to the head (or finishing move), someone always shows up.
JustNoPoint at 4:55PM, April 21, 2009
I know you complain about your art. And I'll feel really really bad if it is just an artistic mistake :P But I don't think that is Fudo. That guy is way too small to be Fudo. And you always tend to draw your characters the correct proportions. I think it's a decoy!!! Your great coloring will keep you in the top 100 no problem IMO!

Congrats on the top 100! Temple has been lagging a bit lately, I think because I haven't had time for Fan Art Fridays (or sketches).
patrickdevine at 8:50AM, April 21, 2009
Oh Sh**... Fudo must be slipping if those mooks actually caught him. Pretty clever on Meredith's part though. So top 100 eh? I was there once, it was good times. It might happen again if I get featured again for some reason.
amanda at 7:22AM, April 21, 2009
Uh oh... Fudo was the one I was counting on to rescue Mike! Hrm, now what? We need MacGuyver!
Tantz_Aerine at 4:58AM, April 21, 2009
If I was serious about being evil, I'd have pulled the trigger before the 'don't get excited' line. But then again that's why my villains don't get too many chances to be in the same frame with unprepared good guys. XD
Peipei at 1:52AM, April 21, 2009
Ok. If Fudo's in trouble, everybody is in trouble x,x. Gosh...Noone to the rescue? D:
n_y_japlander at 11:29PM, April 20, 2009
You have a good point... no one wants to plateau with their art... but some of us just do... Poor Mike... he was thinking it might be Fudo.. and he was right! Just not the way he wanted him to show up!
ghostrunner at 11:24PM, April 20, 2009
i dunno, it surprised me
Warpedwenger at 10:16PM, April 20, 2009
There's always room for improvement. Art is a journey with no end.
