As usual, I had a script of dialogue with no actions planned, so I improvised. I decided that Kaida should be making security checks. Kaida is scared. But she doesn't show fear like other people. Usually, she gets angry, but in this case, it's a bit past that. Past that is the “hide your fear by doing stuff” and in this case, I figured making sure her gun is loaded would be a logical manifestation of that.
