It's a poor artist who blames their tools. I'm a poor artist. Both because I'm not good at it and because – WHY WAS MY PENCIL SO SOFT? It smeared terribly and wore down too fast, so none of the lines are crisp. :( I liked the draft of this. Not spectacular, but the expressions looked decent. Then I screwed up the final version because something was weird with the pencil. :-/
Anyway, here's a page. I'm throwing away that pencil.

A scene in a car is hard to pull off, and you pulled it off. End of story ;)

Thanks. Not my favorite setting, but worse with a misbehaving pencil. 🤷

"It's a poor artist who blames their tools" or so say the manufacturers of substandard tools. ;-)

Cheap tools can mess up a project, but expensive tools can't make up for poor skill. (Speaking as someone who has wasted a lot of money on high quality art supplies.😅)

Nice update. You always put your artwork down but it's good stuff. You have a unique style.

Heh. I definitely struggle. I have had to change my tools over the years too. I used to use mechanical pencils, which are more consistent, but I came to dislike them.
