1. Do the (-#) things go away…EVER?
2. Should logs smell like fish pee?
3. My life is too boring to have anything here for a number three.
I kinda flipped out about this below…
I don't think all the bug errors are done. I clicked on the recent most quote from my comic Pwnd Randomness after it said the pages I updated two days ago were gone but that quote was still there. I got this (Image is kinda too big for forums):
http://www.drunkduck.com/Pwnd_Randomness/gfx/quote%20error.PNG
I'll put this on the Help or Bug thread too.
Saw Xanadu last night and the only really good part was when Hermes (a black dude) said “Bitch, I don't live your life!”. It was the way he said it. Short musical by the way.
I'm actually working on updating EVERYTHING. I think that's a good thing for me but once I get back to school it's all gonna go bye-bye.
To Ozone's Post below me. No always. It could just be that as a teenager of my age I didn't enjoy seeing what the 80's contained in recent time. (don't think I worded that right)

rokulilyDruids are a recreated sect. That culture was wiped out over 1000 years ago -Druids became popular again in the 1800's. And if Tara is older than the pyramids then the Druids got there just as late back in the old days too- Druids being part of the Celtic religion were imported along with the Clets when they migrated to/invaded the British Isles from the 8th to the 1st century BC, supplanting the original cultures.
druid rituals still being conducted there
I think that not many people tend to realise that. :)

Here's a “fun” thought… What if DD had a vampire/zombie apocalypse? And what if some of the DD's vampires sparkled in the sun? And all the zombies wanted to do is to live their own unlives and eat the remaining humans before the vampires can convert them? And how would the still normal characters deal with all this (assuming they're not dieties of any sort or have immunities to being zombified and vampire curses)?
I should stop drinking this gourmet coffee. Not only does it NOT keep me awake, but it's starting to skew my mind. :spin:
Oh, well… I feel sorry for all the local smokers now, though. With that new cigarette tax coming, they've started hoarding all the cigs they can get their hands on (and afford too). The price of cigarettes, cigars, and other smoking stuff is going up by $3 when it takes effect. Hopefully it will help pay for things like our hospital as well as curb the smoking habit… or take it underground like the Prohibition era in the 1920's United States…

I think I'm on a right path of solving my monitor problems. And I hope the new one has good colors, so hten I cna actually SEE what the hell I'm coloring with rather than having to rely on the color names in Photoshop, heh.
Meanwhile I'm just sitting around, reading Absolute Dark Knight I have borrowed from a friend.
The timing is kinda funny though. I've just finished reading Bakuman, got all pumped up for making comics (if they can tackle and overcome their problems, I can tackle and overcome mine!) and was ready to start drawing finally… and then BAM! monitor decides to get some sort of terminal disease. Oh well, it was old and weak already anyway.
Edit: just noticed I got the 666th post in the thread, woo me, I'm the DEVIL!

A little advice: if anyone ever has to take Clindamycin for any reason, be careful about it. I'm currently taking it right now after having a very embarrassing problem removed from a very undisclosed location, and it gives me really bad heartburn.
Keep in mind that I can eat some of the hottest, spiciest shit in the world without feeling heartburn, so that says a lot on how bad this burn is. Milk seems to help dilute the burn a bit, though.
Hopefully, the side effects don't get any worse. I've read up on some pretty bad ones.

I'm snowed into WV again. Currently crashing on a friend's couch.
I'm getting a little homesick. I've been away for ten days. I was visiting a DD friend in another state/timezone for the last week. The roads were a little scary coming back. I was going to meet up with my parents here to make the rest of the trip home, but they can't make it until tomorrow, so I'm semi-stranded at the moment. (But it's good to have a couch to crash on.)
I look forward to the day I can get my own car and not have to rely on others for transportation so much. – But more immediately, I look forward to getting back to my own bed, my cat, and my drawing supplies.

I decided to do two things artistically.
1) Draw enough short stories and oneshots so that I have a buffer for an entire year (and perhaps can bring it up to 3 pages a week)
2) Start drawing the new version of Amen City Chronicles. No idea what schedule this one would be though. 3 or 5 pages a week I guess. I have totally redesigned the story structure. Now that I can do 250 page volumes at Ka-blam and keep them at a reasonable price (in b&w of course), I don't have to try to keep it “one volume=one story” but can alternate between tales, weaving them together through links, visions and characters. In fact, I just wrote a loose take on the opening of the second volume (fiorst one's pretty much written already, just needs some tweaks here and there). Right now I'm thinking 6 volumes :D
Once I have a pile of pages for CC and the second comic chugigng along at a steady pace (b&w should be doable), I can find time to do something else. For now, let's just focus on the things that are already started.

I want to go to bed now. But I can't, because I have to stay up for a 1am webmeeting (there were no times good for everyone between the US-UK-Australia). I could have gotten out of it too, but I didn't feel like that would be fair… So I have to find something to entertain myself another hour that won't make me sleepy. Bah.
Having my car in for yearly repairs and this 1am meeting have messed up my sleep and gym schedule for 3 days. I feel very off track.

I love how things can go from a shitty day of computer trouble, late assignments and missed opportunities to an awesome day of new possibilities and openings just by opening up DD and my email. I put out a couple applications for jobs and internships in illustration and industrial design last week and I got an online interview for Tuesday. Only downside is if I do get the job, it might mean moving to London which might be a bit of a leap. Even so, could be major awesomeness.

Man, some of these university websites are impossible to navigate! I'm having to contact one school to ask them about their tuition, admission requirements, etc. Isn't that the sort of thing you have a website for?
And what does that say about a design school? D:

If that's no consolation, I'll uh… buy you some cookies and have them delivered or something if I get the job.

I went to the store yesterday. It seems that the winter is letting go finally and everything is starting to melt. There was a scary moment when a HUGE BLOCK OF ICE AND SNOW fell from a roof of a building and smashed into the ground perhaps FIVE METERS away from me. IF I was any faster, who knows.
The funniest bit are parking places. They've turned into a hand wide beds of crushed snow and ice, half melted and fused together, thus making parking a difficult task. I've seen a guy few days ago who tried to stop and couldn't so his front bumper almost got torn off as it went against a pile of shovelled off and iced snow. For a second there the car was hanging by the bumper, with front wheels off the ground and then with a loud LOUD noise it slid down again. The guy literally jumped out of the car to see if there was any damage.
So yeah, doesn't look like there'll be any new snow coming in, but what we have already should probably hang around for days. Still, it was a fun winter over here, as in, actual winter with snow that lasted longer than a week, and since we get less snow htan the rest of the country every year, this year we were also spared most of winter related problems (I think there was a total of a foot of snow throughout the entire thing). I just hope now all of this snow melting and finding its way towards the river won't cause summer floods. Personally I'm on a hill, so no matter how high the water gets, it'll never climb THIS high, but the center of the city is pretty much in a valley and there's also only 10-15 meters for the water to pile up before it gets dangerous.

Yesterday I went out looking for a good hardrive HD recorder for my TV. The ones in the shop I looked at cost between $500 and $1000.
So how come I can buy a little adapter for one of my computers for only $60 and it allows any of my comps to record HD TV as long as the TV areal is plugged into them? That's a big difference in price. The benefit of using a comp is the portability and I can have a lot more HD space, while the expensive boxes are mostly 500gig with only one that was 1000 gig.
the only downside is that the software that came with it was a teenu bit tricky to get the hang off… but then again who says a stupid box would be any easier?

How much did your pc cost then? Hmm? That's the part you're not buying (after all a hd recorders are sort of specialised PCs).

I decided to go to the store to buy something to drink.
Stumbled upon Cola… not Coca-Cola, no… Cola Original. That's the brand name, haha.
It also came as “Cola Light Original” and… “Original Cola ZERO sugar” (the sugar bit is much smaller than the huge ZERO text, lol).
What's next, Original Twister Cola?

Why do various old users harp on about various ex old users lol?! This is the internet - it's not like they've really gone anywhere, unless they're dead, which most of them aren't. If they were even remotely interested, I'm sure they could find a way to get in touch: but they don't care XD!

How much did your pc cost then? Hmm? That's the part you're not buying (after all a hd recorders are sort of specialised PCs).
And anyway, I could buy a cheap netbook, a TV adapter and an external hardrive all for less than an HD recorder and that setup could do way more and not become as obselete as quick.
IronscarfI've known friends on the net who've died. I've known people who've gone away and done something else for a few years and then come back to the same old networks and sites. Over the years I've seen a lot of people come and go and come back and go and come back again.

Also Acer aspire 5536 is a pretty good laptop. And it only cost £500 (a quarter of my wasted summer…) when i bought it last August. Still perfectly working and ive dropped it a few times by accident. 15.6 HD screen, 4 gig of ram, ATI radeon HD 3200 graphics and half a terrabyte hard disc drive. . Also has a bluray player.

Coming up with a new new comic that I can purposefully suck at drawing but still get a serious comic out of it. Called “Sticks and Thicks”.
