When I was little I watched an episode of Sesame Street where they explained the difference between “in the middle of the street” as Americans say it and as others think of it. It still continued to baffle me for weeks after-
"They think of a ‘street’ as the same way we think of ‘road’???? WTF?!!
But later on when I first heard the Madness song, for a while I did think it meant a house literally in the middle of a road.

Like I explained, we use street to mean both. But because we have the word “block” to describe a street as well, we use street much more loosely. It's not nearly as strict an interpretation as you guys think. It can mean literally in the road, or midway down the street. It just depends on the context more for us.

I keep being the bearer of bad news. I just heard that a relative of mine got caught in a fire when his house burned down. He's right now in emergency care with 3rd degree burns on 30% of his body and has heavily damaged lungs and is being kept in a drug induced coma. Doctors have done everything they can for him and crossing their fingers now. It's not know if he'll make it but he's likely to pull through if he survives the week.
In other news, I just went for my doctors appointment and things are looking good. I'm of the anti-inflammatory drugs and they say I'm actually allowed to work up a sweat now but I can't do cardio type exercises for at least a month.

YAY! NEW MONITOR HAS ARRIVED! IT WORKS IT WORKS! OH GOD! COLORS! I FORGOT HOW THEY LOOK LIKE!

Phew… one thing that went wrong though is that the case is slightly damaged at the bottom and the screws holding the main part of the monitor's box got loose and as I was unpacking it, the whole case shifted… tearing hte sticker at the back of it in half. Whoppee, I just voided the warranty, argh.
Oh well, a good used screen for this kind of money is great anyway, and I'm hoping I can afford something better next year anyway. By that time the entire world should be enslaved by the majesty and grace of my two webcomics, so you'll be sending me free hardware anyway… wait, did I just let my plans slip? Oh well, I'll mindwipe you later.

Now I have to make good on my promises and start working on ym second comic.

Again, thanks for the concern. My family is hosting a prayer service for my relative tonight. It's probably gonna be a full church since my extended family is pretty big (over 100 people showed up for my confirmation).

Wow. So, I zoned out of my life for a two week period. I came back earlier this morning to see how I was doing without me and realized my grades have increased 10% in both gen ed classes, I'm caught up on my literature reading, I've accidentally scheduled 2 different dates with amazingly lovely ladies this week, and my current webcomic is #705 in Comic Book/Story.
My autopilot is ten times better at this life thing than I am. I think I'm okay with this.

Now I think I know where all our nighttime heat has gone. It's gotten unusually cold here at night, especially in the early morning. I no longer need my AC on in the morning. In fact, I've had to bundle up just so I don't freeze in my bed. The climate has certainly gotten weird…

Kinda hard to say anything when nobody knows what said meltdown is about. When you say you're not going to explain, most people are apt to leave it at that.
As for me, I just realized today that I really need to get out and do something non-work related. My social circle is approximately the size of nothing, and I've put in 70 hours this week, and I'm still supposed to come in tomorrow for the morning. I'm at that point where all hobbies have ceased and I'm hard-pressed to even think of a hobby to pick up. Let this be a lesson to you kids: Never, ever make your hobby into your job. It will eat your soul and leave you with no life.

I love how the History Channel show “The Universe” makes things that are about to kill us so beautiful… wow… that sounds kinda disturbing now. The epsidoe “Death Stars” is one example of this. The beautiful spiral formed by the Wolf-Rayet star WR-104 and its companion is one heck of a stellar animation produced for the show. And when this star explodes, it could be the very last thing we see as its gamma ray beam strikes our atmosphere and fries our ozone layer…
And to top that off, there's a galaxy out there that's been blasting the heck out of a nearby galaxy for several million years if not more… NONSTOP!!! And within the next half million years the constellation of Orion is going to lose one of its shoulders… And in about 60,000 years the Eagle Nebula will cease to exist… T_T
Had fun again in Anarchy Online testing my new guns on the local Leet (or is that 1337) around the front end of Newland City. They weren't happy about it. Then again, neither were the Chirops (and they ganged up on me pretty good)…
Ah… my coffee is done. Nothing like a fresh cup of the stuff in the morning to put you back to sleep. :)

I bought 3 packs of cards today and got a lvl.X charizards and lvl.X tangrowth + swampert. I never had this kind of luck with packs when i was a kid. Which is sad, because it wouldn't have been a total social taboo to collect them at that age. >o> At least my friend collects them with me though because it's boring as fuck on your own. You should be happy you don't have them large. Imagine what it's going to be like when you're older… having backaches in your upper back because of the extra weight in the front and having to find special equipment just to keep them supported while minimizing back pain. Owch… My sis is already complaining about hers and I'm terrified for my eldest niece who's already getting them at 16…
