So… if some ancient woman is made young again, is she still a “cougar” because of her age? Excellent story and art, anyways.

Today on Times Like This: Ending the “Last Stop” crossover with another classic (if not way obscure) comic reference.

Times: I love the simple humor. (not simple as in childish) The simplicity makes it awesome in soo many ways. I also enjoy how you interpose the drawn on the photographed. Also, I feel sorry for Elvis :)

MAG-ISA has intense drama with great characterization. The storyline becomes more interesting when you read though the pages more. :)

Brood Knight pretty much looks like a fun comic but it has dramatic improvement of art.

Eternity was updated yesterday with an overdressed weirdo. :-P

Is that Unknown from Kingdom Hearts?

As mentioned in my last post regarding your comic, you've got some tight pacing there. I especially like the small detail of Flora nervously waving nervously.

Glimmer's update was a Christmas special. Not too happy about it because I drew it in a single sitting while half drunk during the pencils then hyped on caffeine during the inks and hungover during the colors.

OH WELL LIVE N LEARN

In the latest instalment of Glimmer our eponymous heroine Glimmer confronts the awesome might of … well, Santa Claus! Luckily - unless it's just a speech impediment - it seems she's a learned a trick from a certain sorceress, name of Zatanna!

********************

One of the defining features of Shades, I've often thought, is the number of flashbacks we use to tell the characters' back-stories. Spanning five thousand years of British history they weave in and out of the main plot like … I don't know. Weaving inny-and-outy things.

Anyway, today's instalment starts another flashback sequence. This time we're back to WW2 again, and who knows? Maybe this time we'll actually get to see why Doug can be such a grumpy old bugger!

Shades - I love following Shades in this particular thread. Today's update is superb and the flashback scenes are some of my favourite ones in the comic to date. The characterization is superbly done.

The Chronicles of Wyrden updates with some helpful explanation from Talon regarding the Mist Reaver.

The Chronicles of Wyrden has a great art style. No computer based nonsense here, this is classic hand drawn work, which gives a real richness to the characters and settings.
The current page features one of the most interesting takes on fixing an engine I have see in ages. Go read it!

Hey, a swordfight! Those are hard to draw! (to me, at least!)
I really like how solid the drawing looks. You can totally tell the armor is made of metal, and heavy, and hard to move in. The blows carry weight. A nice action scene.

Meanwhile, in www.drunkduck.com/missing_days_of_february people just talk and talk and talk more. :D

@ Missing Days of February - I like the style. I have no idea what's going on, so I might go back a few and read up, but artwise (especially for b&w), it's very interesting. The lighting is good, too. I'm intrigued, and that's hard to do with me. B)

Off Hours updated today with the last page of Chapter 1! Is there a challenger to the rock ape, someone who could take on a 15 foot tall walking mound of solid rock? You betcha!

Due East updated with filler from the results of Drunk Duck Secret Santa. Art by BlkKnight of Crossing Death.

Drunk Duck secret santa for Due East was pretty cute. Off Hours continues to tell a compelling story about your favorite DD “actors” trapped in a resort and their adventures in trying to get out alive. Great stuff, love it!

Ah, gas leaks. No matter what, you can always blame it on a gas leak, even when there isn't any type of gases miles around to do anything. ^_^
Otherwise, great work! I love the oldish feel of the inking, but with a more modern day look drawn wise. Keep up the good work man! <3

@:: - That last panel is seriously cool-looking. The perspective is nice, too, in panel 3. And is that watercolor or marker you're using for shading? Either way, it looks really nice.

Um. I LOVE me some BLOOD REIGN AND DEVIL JACK —awesome Silver Ageish art, and things are about to get “wicked” indeed.

In the CROSSOVERLORD, at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverlord/index.php?p=494888 is a very special Christmas present—the return of the Green Avenger and the guest-appearance of Wonderella (both used with permission of the authors, and the strip drawn and scripted by Abby Lark,TGA's creator)!

Everyone loves nostalgia.
I'm British, we are so nostalgic we even have a tv show about how mcuh better nostaglia used to be in the 1980's.
But even so, seeing Kyupols first ever comic is really wierd, it is a world away from what kyupol can make these days.

The two pages of Hideout I read were abrupt and stark, and I mean that in a very good way. You're thrown into the story, which for some people is an uneasy feeling, but I think it works here really well. Wondering what will happen next.

I don't really know what's going on in Engine, but that page ended up making me laugh, so I'm probably going to have to set aside time to dig through the archive on it.

I've updated Last Words after being a bum for almost a month and I decided to try something new with using the text to identify characters and moods, so I could use some feedback on whether or not it works.
