Nice use of color on the sound effects. Contrasts well with the black and white line art.

Today is another Glimmer strip continuing the story arc started Monday.

Despotize is a really good comic, the art has a flair and style that's seconded only by the really excellent use of panel angles. The layout is great on many of the pages. It conveys action in a suitably cinematic sense.

The Chronicles of Wyrden updates today and it seems that the shoulder-sitting cat of Morgan's is somewhat intimidated by the size of this metal bird.

The anime remix was alright i guess.
But it's really just text on images. Not much effort.

Welcome to the thread, Keneticlopx! Your post doesn't quite follow thread guidelines. Critique comments are certainly allowed (in fact, we used to get more of them and in depth stuff too… I miss that). Critique is generally more helpful if it is longer and more detailed, though, not just “I don't like it.” (I take it you're unfamiliar with or don't like photo/sprite comics in general.) What you were missing was the important info on your own comic update! (The whole point of this thread! ;) ) Although people have gotten lazy about it, they used to give interesting behind scene facts on the latest updates and why people should check it out. Now most people just say “I updated.” (Yawn) But you need at least that.

Anyway, I'll assume you did update and comment on your latest page. (Keep in mind that you can't/shouldn't post here again until you have again updated.)

I looked through your archives. Interesting strip. Not really to my personal tastes as far as humor, but I appreciate the fact that most of it has no dialogue, and you still convey the punchlines and setup. Good pacing on most of the comic. The most recent update seems pretty abstract, which again, isn't to my taste, but that's okay. I like the expressions on Circle (giant eye, tiny mouth). As for as suggestions/critique, well, I understand simplicity is what you're going for, but you might consider experimenting with the background some. Adding a horizon might anchor the comic better and give it a sense of place. You could also expend and take your characters to other settings – where they can continue smashing and eating things.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Used Books latest update begins a new chapter. I'm pretty happy with the coloring on this one, especially the blushing, and it begins a scene with two timid characters who also have a crush on each other. (A good old fashioned game of “mouse and mouse.” ) Plus, Seiko has a fever so she's been overemotional and saying things both nonsensical and somehow super honest.
Aaaawwww… Nothings cuter than over emotional sickness. =3 Its cute because they'er so clingy, even if its the common cold. XD
Simple, yet has enought inner feelings it the comic itself that its easy to connect your self to it. =3
Read Used Books if you can!
Oh yeah, Glimmer updated. Click on that ugly picture in the signature.
The Rose Killer…………very dark, and moody page. Well done. I will have to read this to see what the main story entails, but the art on this particular page is very cool.
Engine updates. A big bug. A girl. A guy. A dark cave. Even more, smaller bugs……….now all we need is a flipping jeep, and we have an episode of the A-Team.
Don't forget to write about your update!! Especially if you have more than one comic (but even if you just have one) – I mean, that IS the whole point of this thread!
I *think* you updated Cowtoon based on the date on the page. Looks like enemies have been made. However, the pig deserved it for being so quick to anger. Not all hot dogs contain pork. (And this one contains… people!! )
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Gelotology updated with a very simple strip of the most juvenile and predictable nature, but juvenile is what we do – in the name of science of course. It also finally mentions the comic's title. (I had to do a simple strip this week because I had a migraine, but when I feel better, I'll try to make a second update.)

There are certain staples of slapstick comedy that have been done so many times that, to be funny, they now have to do something very different with the basic idea. Like someone slipping on a banana skin. That stopped being funny some time in the 1940s but, in Sleeper, Woody Allen made it funny again by putting a unique twist on the old idea (giant bananas!)

In Gelatology, usedbooks breathes new life into another well-worn classic, making it funny with a little twist of her own. She also explains what Gelatolgy means, too. (No, I don't believe you already knew!) ;-)

****************************

No slapstick in the latest instalment of Shades but we do have a bunch of people getting ready to commune with spirits.

Damn. If only I'd cast Margaret Rutherford as a medium … Her pork-pie hat always brings the house down!
