Living With Insanity has a really cool, slick art style that's somewhat unusual for a gag strip, but given the tone and the attitude of the main character, it works really well. The previous strip is funnier than the current one, though. ;-)

On today's Bulletproof page, we find out why Shockwire's really out there beating up muggers, and it's not… quite what you thought.

Bulletproof. A perfect example of how to balance your black and whites, in a b/w comic. Really well done, great characters and dialogue. Yummy.

I haven't read crossing death in a bit and so I was a bit surprised to see them suddenly becoming more detailed!
Are we moving to a time when Crossing Death will be entirely detailed? And is that in some way selling out? Only time will tell…
Also the new site layout is cool!
I need to work on a page layout for my comic…..

Anyone looking for an epic story should definitely check out Harkovast. I'm also a great admirer of the colored pencil work in Harkovast. I used to use colored pencils, and I was never able to reach the level of detail that is found in the pages of Harkovast. Keep it up!

Cool action sequence in the last four panels. I like the slight overlap of the character as he/she tumbles.

In Used Books we have either a long awaited heartfelt confession or more fever-driven ramblings. Either way, it's cute and awkward.

In USED BOOKS we often find the hardest thing to accept is worthiness to be loved.

In the CROSSOVERLORD, Mindmistress takes center stage, with some really different art from Lewis, Lightbringer's creator. However, not so different that MM and Dasien forego their usual snarkfest.

Check it out at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverlord/index.php?p=519101

The Crossoverlord is a group effort, and so the style changes with each new page.
I'm actually pretty fascinated for know how it is all organised.
Is the story agreed by the group or can each person make up what they want to happen when they get to their page?
It is certainly fun to watch it unfold!

Some nice textures in the coloring and some epic panels make Harkovast an interesting looking comic. For critique, I would recommend using actual balloons for your dialogue, so it's easier to read and helps the reader's eye flow through the page better.

First off, HARKOVEST has beautiful coloring.

Secondly….ummm. The process of CROSSOVERLORD is kind of complicated…

This started out by an outline from Lewis, Lightbringer's creator.

That evolved into a bigger script, at least for the first leg of the story, by Lewis and Remus, Dead Debbie's author.

After that we discuss, and either I or Neil do proposed storyboards for the individual pages (typically, Neil often does his own, I often do the others), trying to take into account everybody's wishes. We haven't done that through the end of the story, but we've done it till mid-summer so far. All of that is TENTATIVE. Each creator is free to change details, pacing, number of panels, etc. to fit their art style. If there's a major change in what's laid out, we hope we'll alert the others before it's put out there. We talk a lot. We put in jokes. We tweak it if one author says it doesn't sound like their character.

Of course we have to assign who does what. A lot of times some of us volunteer for a particular page that strikes their fancy. Then we discuss who gets the leftovers. We've learned some of our individual strengths and weaknesses. I tend to overuse dialogue, for instance. Neil is best on funny scenes. Remus does dynamite backgrounds.

We are deliberately working towards several goals, several high points along the storyline. We have proposed scenes and settings beyond mid-summer, for instance that are coming up.

We have at least one surprise proposed that will knock your socks off.

That answer your question?

Sorry. When I started to write the answer, (since not just a comment, but a question was asked) there wasn't another answer in between. I did get interrupted in mid-reply, though. I should have checked it. So…TEMPLE OF A THOUSAND TEARS, as always, follows a fascinating story with wit and complexity…one of the better webcomics on Drunk Duck…

And WWE, as always, remains the best photo-positioned webcomic with wrestling action figures in the world. *Grin*

Anyone following me, please comment on WWE, since Crossoverlord has already been commented on this update.

@WWE

My favorite part of checking out this comic is seeing TOYS! I miss toys. The little folding chair and laptop are so cute. Why is everything small cute? Even the tiny wrestlers are cute. Awe. (I'm sure it's all quite manly and everything, but I can't help but smile at all the little bits of plastic. :) )

Gelotology updated with a strip all about robotics and the types of people who come up with the most advanced kinds of technology. There's a lot more detail and color than Monday's strip. (I was off my game Monday, so I wanted to make up for that.)
