That's some real intracate design on the woman's dress. It looks like you've changed the way you do your shading, the new page looks really lovely.

Monkey Shine is one awesome comic. Great art and an intriguing story. Talking cats, explosions, and large hammers – who could ask for more? This comic is just getting started and already the plot is in the thick of things. I liked it so much I “fav'd” it.

Oh, and my comic is Endstone. On today's update, a god is about to destroy the world. But that's par for the course.

Endstone has some terrific B&W lineart and its story just gets more intriguing with every page! In the latest instalment our heroine leaves behind a horde of rampaging orcs … but, bearing in mind where she seems to be going, that may not be a good thing!

****************************

Meanwhile in real-world UK, people seem to be realising that those MP chappies in Westminster are a bunch of crooks without morals or ethics. How'd that happen?!

By amazing coincidence, the action in our UK-based comic Shades is currently playing out across the rooftops of that very same Westminster, and two of our main villains are aiming to despatch the lovely Boudicca.

Well, at least our villains don't fund their villainy with tax-payers' money!

Shades: If you're not reading this comic, you should be. This is one of my favourite comics of all time. The art got much better, the story has always been excellently paced and the dialogue is spot on. DAJB hooked me with this right from the start.

Also, I totally dig Boo. Nuff said.

The Chronicles of Wyrden updates today with the start of Chapter 5 and welcome to Wyrden City, a curious place indeed.

Fantastic splash page. I love the angle, and the period architecture is very nicely rendered. I get a real sense of “place” when looking at it. (And it's a great way to begin a chapter, with an arrival in the city.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm going away for the week, but I managed to do three things before leaving.
~Gelotology updated with a strip about crazy field biologists and their fascination with deadly animals.
~Used Books has filler. But I never do filler, so I hope it's more of a treat for my regular readers than a disappointment. (And the filler could be canonical and is a glimpse at the life of a now-dead character.)
~Page two of my just starting experimental project The Quiet Field is up now.
The Quiet Field seems serene and beautiful so far - when you get back I can't wait to see more!
Used Books is nice–I've always said how I like your shadows and here it really helps the image - its like the subject is highlighted in the corner. Good work!
Gelotology has spiders! I looove spiders!
Lady Doom features a pretty important character returning to the forefront, in a very scary manner..
@Mister Kent: Those spikes are new, aren't they? I'd almost say keep them after this arc is done for the coolness factor.
Speaking of which, Crossing Death aims to up the coolness factor as well.
@Shaman Quest - this is one fully action packed comic. I've read it from the start up to the current page. Cool CGI.
WWE: I like what you able to do within the limits of posing toys and taking pictures of them to create a comic. Picture could use a bit of contrast/brightness adjustment, but it isn't anything too distracting.
PSS: I left a long comment with my help on it already.
Hmmm. Interesting black and white toning on Ryu's Krew.
In the Crossoverlord—well, when you have a comic called the CROSSOVERLORD, you have to expect the occasional cameo and crossover. This week we have a bunch, from Superdan from BAD GUY HIGH (and check out the picture of OUR group at BAD GUY HIGH—it's a work of art) to Ronson's Rubber Mallet from the Gods of Arr-Kaleen…
check it out at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverlord/index.php?p=561564.
One of my favorite styles of art is engravings, woodcuts, and pen and ink illustration from the Victorian era. So yeah, seeing comic art that's reflective of this always makes me smile.
The first couple of pages are pretty striking. It's almost as if Joseph Clemont Coll was hired to do a Tijuana Bible loosely based on a forgotten Oscar Wilde story. I'd definitely like to delve deeper into what happens next.
I've made two updates today. “Air Raid Robertson” gets a new page which details the latest problem he faces after crashing his plane in a rain forest.
I also added another page to “Father Will Come And Set Me Free”. Today's focal point is on The Second Horseman of the Apocalypse. Horsie Number Three will be up here tomorrow, and Horsie Number Four follows tomorrow. (As well as a new Capital of Helsinki strip)
Busy week for me.
