It's true! DD Awards 2020 are a thing, and you should ALL participate!
This is the crowning awesome of Drunk Duck events. A sort of Oscar Awards Night for every webcomic hosted here on DD! This is your time to showcase and enjoy the spotlight, as well as get to notice other worthy webcomics as well.
There are several stages to the entire event, that run over the course of a few months of preparation and organization. The amazing champion and Head of Ceremonies Niccea has been coordinating and running the event smoothly for years. She took a break for 2019, and now she's back!
The Awards nominees are chosen by vote, and then judged by a panel of your peers- and you can be a member of the judging panels if you volunteer! Then, when all is said and done, each Award is presented in comic form, and awarded! This is also done by volunteers!
And of course, there is also the Red Carpet event, because we do have an Award Night, where all the nominated webcomics' cast appears in formal dress for the photographers!
So if you want to have a chance to get a Drunk Duck Award on any (or many!) categories, and be part of the biggest celebration of webcomics of all styles and genres, go on and be a part of it right now!

Go to the forum above to volunteer. Technically you're already entered if you have a comic currently updating here on Drunkduck. Two of my comics have updated in the timespan covered by the award criteria but I'd definitely need to do an fyc to remind people. I'd rather do a heap of presentations again.

In 2018 one presentation was done in hazmat suits. Someone was ahead of the curve.

The auditorium will only allow 10 people into the theatre and they must sit 6 feet away from each other. Everyone handling a trophy must wear a hazmat suit. ;-)
