Tristan and Mike live in the same building, not in the best part of town, so I figured they would need to seek better accommodations in the storm.
Originally, I had Toyo and Celes sheltering at the bookstore as well, with the electricity out in their (much better) neighborhood. They were going to be part of a B-plot. I ended up cutting (or rather, moving) the B-plot, and I realized that including them in this story was no longer necessary. (They were on my mind due to the Captain Jack arc, since they were once members of his crew.)

Although I miss the snow, I don't miss driving in it. (I do okay but the others on the road are frightening)
