These “plain” pages are a little quicker to produce, and they let me focus on (and practice) facial expressions. My original plan was to have no background at all. Just the plain white page. But the weather ties in nicely to the empty dreamscape, and there's something I like about Fudo leaving footprints.

Lol. It was an artistic decision. Maybe it's symbolic. Maybe I hate drawing hats.
