Not sure if the last panel is what I originally intended for a visual. But it turned out pretty well for whatever it is. I wanted it to look ethereal and ghostly, so my first thought was just to leave it as the solid whitish background with the faded outlines on it. I ended up darkening the outlines. Then I just kept adding things and ended up with this.
(Jerry, the bald guy in the second row, was the first real casualty in Used Books and also was the first “bad guy.” I do not recommend reading back that far. It was not my best work. Suffice it to say, he's nasty and badly written, and he put the hole in Seiko's ear. He appeared on page 9 and died on page 279.)

The last panel works great! And you've succeeded well in the feeling of a chill in a vast desert of ice where nobody wants to be. Great stuff :)

Thank you. :) I think it manages the hypothermia x loneliness vibe I was going for. (I was worried that additional figures would detract from that, but I think this solves it.)
