International travel 101: don't plan any activities for the first day. I've taken international flights only four times (two round trip). I traveled across just one time zone, but I was still beat because air travel is awful. Sea travel is also awful and road travel is the worst. (Motion sickness sucks.)

My sis lives in Australia, so my parents fly a lot, especially since their grandson was born. I haven't been to visit. I get miserably sick on flights (also boat trips, drives, etc.)

Best thing to do after a long trip is order a nice dinner and snuggle up in bed in front of a t.v. But maybe I'm just saying that because that sounds great right now!
