I'm hoping others will start following my example and make their own DD backgrounds, it might be interesting to have it be a seperate section of the website.

Today I had an interesting associative drawing session with my ten year old sister. I played some classical, instrumental or experimental music and we both drew something on our own blank pieces of paper that we thought suited the music. When the song ended we put our drawings aside and continued doing the same for the next song. After about three hours we studied the drawings we made and discussed the similarities and themes in the drawings.
Where I mostly drew scenes that I thought would be interesting accompanied by the background music, like in a movie, my sister drew scenes that had nothing at all to do with the music at first glance. Upon later reviewing I noticed that the highs and lows of the song were represented in both the landscape and the posture of the creatures my sister drew.
In short, my imagination is declining and the imagination of my little sis is awesome.

Pretty.
Man, my nose is Soooo stuffed up!
You know it's tricky getting back into the swing of things when you've been away so long. Getting back into my graphic design job is easy but all the DD stuff, my comic, putting clothes away, posting all my pics, eating dinner instead of just going to bed… well this is my second full day back home, maybe I'll be able to get that stuff sorted now!

Oh lord… DD -_-
Things I dislike here:
1. spell check doesn't work because of this stupid edit box.
2. Line spacing being removed when your post goes live… do you have to manually put paragraph breaks in in the HTML version or something? WHY?
3. Why is the post space so fricken narrow???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
…so that continuous lines of text over-run it and images are shrunk down to nothing.
3. Quotes still malfunction depending on what you're doing.
4. Links totally bugger up, at least in the forum titles, unless you use a shortening service. Why the F do I need a shortening service for links on a forum?????????
5. Posts aren't displayed in reverse order when you make a reply, so that the latest post is still at the bottom of the screen, making it less intiuative to read through previous posts to refernce in your reply and breaking continuaty with the previous setup.
5. still no admin or mod titles.
6. the admin system is buggy as hell and simple as a Russian tractor, but less useful.
7. I don't even care about the colours, they're the very least of my concerns, these forums need some fixn'!!!!!!!

I actually LOVE that aspect.
What I DON'T like about it is that it totally fugs up the administration/moderation side of things: i.e. if this was still a usefully busy site like it was before it got messed up then you NEEDED the admin and Mod titles so people knew who to turn to for help with site issues as well as obviously indicating authority when you needed to tell people to quit being dicks or posting official or important site news.
To see this site STILL unfinished even NOW is just so depressing. Honestly. These forums in this state suck.

I just listened to the latest quackcast and am quite ashamed by my horrendous accent…
I was surprised by the guest appearance at the end though, so it wasn't all bad. I hope people will listen to it and learn from it!

I'm definitely not happy with the forums either. And having to wear sunglasses while viewing them is getting tiresome. -_-

Been feeling depressed lately. My father still wants me married RIGHT NOW, and won't listen to anything I say. I basically told him I have no prospects and my luck with women is pretty bad anyway. At this point I feel like I failed him. I'm even refusing to partake in this so called “mail order bride” thing… I'd have to be REALLY DESPERATE to go that way.I keep thinking back to that one crucial point in my life where I could've ended up settling down early but instead my incredible lack of self confidence held me back.

Ugh… if I could drown my sorrows in hard liquor I'd do so, but remembering seeing family members do this to death (literally) will put that idea out of my mind.

Maybe that's why I drink so much coffee… as a replacement that's not going to kill you as easily… oh, well. I guess I'll stop “whining” now. It's funny how it goes. It's supposedly bad for you if you hold in all your negative emotions, but the moment you let them out to someone who will listen it's "whining'. Okay… this idiot is gonna shut up now.

The only way to meet a nice girl is to actually go out and do stuff in places where there might be nice girls. Mail order brides and stuff like that isn't neccesary if you're active enough. And don't worry, there's no such thing as the one, almost anyone is so desperate for love that they'll settle.

Yeah… everyone tells me that. But when I said my luck with women was bad, I wasn't kidding.Every woman I've met (even recently at a restaurant and then at work) is one of these… married, single with boyfriend, single with GIRLFRIEND, or I'm not worth hanging around with. Sometimes I wish I had that gene my father has (I got most of my mother's genes)… he had no problem attracting women to him, even at 60!!! T_T

Back from my Summer Hols, (knotted hankies on the old nut, Ice cream by the absolute bucket and sand in the unmentionables) and all my prized artwork has been squished!

Is the switch on the ‘art compactor’ still set to the positive? I can't bring myself to feed any more of my painty children to it's squashing evil at the moment.

I am currently reading.. “Batmanga”, it's like.. rad and swell!

Images over 960 pixels wide were meant to be shrunk, but all the other image compression was a mistake. They're working on fixing it but apparently it's a slow one-by-one sort of process and I don't know how far along they've gotten with that. I know they planned to start with the most popular comic and work down, but doing too much at once slows the site down, so they were ‘rationing’ it. If you haven't got too many pages then you might be better off re-uploading them (they shouldn't be converted any more) than waiting for the people behind the scenes to get round to it. Sorry. :[

Well tell your father to go out andget a girl for you.

If he's so good at it tell him to go do it and you'lldate what he brings you.

I never had trouble attracting women. I had a big probelm realizing that I had attracted one and getting up the courage to do anything.

Anyway my mom turns 82 today and I'm meeting her after she gets off work. I'm also praying that I won't get called in to work tonight. The site captain has been calling out every other day or so. This rampant absenteeism is unacceptable. And he had the gumption to worry who's going to cover my vacation in November?
Well I'm not the guy who can't seem to get to work two days in a row and calls out at the last possible minute forcing me out of bed and into work on my days off as fast as I can get there. I usually get the call at 11PM for a midnight shift and I live 40 minutes away. Unless I could warp time and space there is no way I could get there on time in any condition to work. But damn am I racking up the extra time.
