I needed to make you a cake even if it weren't your birthdays. Those radio pages you contributed are wonderful.

I hope you both have an especially happy day!

Pitface, Koratz, Aqua, and even Alejkhan! All having birthdays!

————-
Now that the magnum Opus of the DD radio play AND comic is all done it'll have a magnifficent debut on this week's Quackcast! That one will be a REEEEEAAAAAAAAAL doozy. I've been looking forward to it for a looong time. ^_^

————-

Just drawing a page of Pinky TA today… it's such a hard struggle to get it OUT and onto the page… I had a sort of freak-out moment when I looked at the date on the page of my notebook where the current scene was written and it said 3rd of September 2007!!!!!! And this scene has been Crystal in my head for that long… almost exactly FOUR years is how long it took to draw from when I wrote it o_O

The scenes that took place right before that one were all written in 2009! 2 years after!
…And this whole thing first started as a bunch full sized paintings all the way back in 1997!
OMFG… I am taking forever to tell this damn story. …even though I wasn't working on it as a serious thing till 2004, that's still a decent amount of time for a creative project like that to have been around and not to have gotten very far on.

SO weird when you think about how many years you put into something. I remember back when I was doing those paintings, my lecturers complained about how few I'd done and how slow I was… and NOW I work waaaaaaay slower (way way way) slower on single pages than I ever did on any painting I've ever done.

Ahhh, looking back… Probably not a good idea :)

What are you going as hippie?
Still figuring our how to cut quotes >_>

I'm making a respectable sum on ebay but i'm scared to death of chargeback scams from buyers. There is literally nothing paypal will do to stop them, it doesn't matter if you have an email confirming their purchase or delivery confirmation. You also cannot fight the owners bank because paypal wont say what it is a without a lawsuit/subpeona.

I basically have one buyer who bought something expensive with zero refs. He's also got a stupid sounding name on his paypal and red flags are just going up. I want to just refund him but i'm afraid of a negative.

This made my bleeding day!

I played Lasertag, ate A LOT, got four bottles of 20 year old whiskey (As old as me!), Got one cool ass movie, and a lot of moolah!

I'm pretty happy with my day!

Happy birthday PIT and Alejkhan!

ow… my feet are killing me. I really need to watch where I'm walking next time I go to work. Stepped right into a minefield of… carabao dung… I'd like to know who around here's been taking their animals out to graze by the side of the road. Luckily I had a trash bag on hand and a faucet at the work site to rinse off my shoes and pants. At least the people on the bus this morning didn't get to smell my tripup last night.

And I'm still seeing it. Some motorists out here look down on people who are walking or waiting at the bus stop. I wonder how those people will feel when the price of gas goes up so much that they can't buy it anymore… (it's at $4.62 right now, and it may go up by a dollar before the end of the year)…

Carabao? Google search gives me pics of a water-buffalo type creature, ‘cept it also looks a bit like a normal buffalo with those horns (buffalo not Bison).
Cow type poo doesn’t normally smell too bad though.

—————–
So I drew up the current page of Pinky TA in record time… mostly, now I just need to make a prettier, tighter, less rough version. -current version can be seen on my Pinky TA facebook page here:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pinky-TA/216343955058970
Reminds me of a lino print.

That was a fun one to draw. It was fast and smooth. I drew it all up while watching/listening to the documentary Raging bulls and… something else (I've forgotten), where they pick apart the Hollywood movie industry and explain why it was really cool in the 70's when they did realistic stuff and then turned to shiz when Spielberg came on and then they only did “B movies”, which is how they describe any big-budget stuff involving SciFi, fantasy, and any big film at all with explosions, heists, disasters, horror… or basically anything at all that isn't arty or at least gritty and realistic is supposedly a “B-film” to the wanker behind that documentary.

I agree with him that movies did generally dumb down a bit with the Spielberg generation taking over, and in the 70's there were more hard-hitting and thoughtful movies coming out of Hollywood, but to say that “B-movies” then took over afterwards is moronic. …it was a shame they made that point in the end like that because it was a very good documentary all up- very informative and gives you a great perspective on Hollywood history from the period.

I checked at the Halloween costumes at wal-mart, (unsurprisingly) all the adult female costumes look like something you'd find in a sex shop.

Yep. Carabao are related to the bison I think. The Spaniards brought them here long ago to be used as beasts of burden. And those dung pies can be really big… or really spread out. And it was pretty dark when I realized what I was stepping in wasn't mud… eww…

I'm sorely tempted to go around with my niece on Halloween… dressed as a Security Officer. But I don't think my boss will like that if she finds out…

The internet says that they're related to water bufelo. :)

Yeah, go dressed as security! But that might not be too much fun for you though would it? Isn't half the fun of the thing dressing up as something different?

You could do both! Wear the security stuff on the top half and go naken from the waste dowm- then say to everyone who sees you:

“It's ok, I'm a cop”

I've never bought a costume…making the costume is half the fun of Halloween!
I'm going as a crew member of the USS Enterprise this year. My younger sister is very embarassed that she'll have to walk around with me. : )

I'll never understand customers who get angry with mebecause we don't stock something.
I work in a really small store so we can't keep things in if there isn't at least one person who buys it regularly. Normally if someone comes in looking for something we don't keep in stock I'll offer to special-order it for them or show them something comparable. But this guy who came in yesterday was such a jerk the whole time he was there, that I didn't even get a chance before he started ranting about how he'd never come back.

I have an idea… maybe I can go as a “Blundercat”… just one little problem…

There's no possible way I can imitate a drunk sailor mouthed Lion-O… I neither drink nor swear. I guess that's out of the picture…

There's still the transforming costume idea where I can be a robot that transforms into an actual working scooter. It wouldn't be easy to design and would probably be heavy. But wouldn't it be cool if youcould transform yourself into a working vehcile and let your friends get a ride? :)

Well… got the bus schedule for my area (finally). Looks like I won't have a problem using it to get to work (though I still have to walk through two dog infested areas to get there). Too bad they aren't active on Sundays… which means I spend 6 hours walking back and forth… I'm thinking of getting myself a bicycle instead of car parts. It's a slightly less expensive option… unless I factor in having to call the mechanics to my house and having them do the work as well as paying in full for a new driveshaft (as opposed to trading in my old one to get the new one cheaper). *sigh*

Oh, great… looks like the tubes inside my clogged coffee maker exploded…

I tried to change my flat tire. Everything was going so well and I figured out how to use the jack and get the hubcap off. I had gotten off all the bolts…except the new gold one. :( I tried so freaking hard and even sprayed “nut buster” lubricant on it but all that did was make me slip. Very disappointing it would have looked good if i was able to do this too.

And this is one reason why I pack a sledgehammer in the trunk of my car. The other reason being that while in the jungle I need something to fend off the giant wild pigs that roam the place…

Dad came home and he just stomped on it(the wrench) It was so obvious why didn't i think of that? -o-

I also like that he doesn't drill me about why the tire is flat like my mom would.Like what does it matter? It's not like i shanked it or made i flat for shits and giggles.

What have I been up to since my birthday? Well, I'm glad you asked me, internet.

First of all I have been drawing a lot, I finished the character design for the five main characters of my soon to be legendary comic called Zom. Now I need to give them backstories to match their coolness, I only have the basics written down as of yet.

Secondly I have been watching a lot of Farscape, I don't think it's a very good show but I do believe it is pretty interesting, and I love the concept of a living space ship, growing to accomodate it's inhabitants. I myself once wrote a little story about a house doing the same thing, gradually changing to fit the whims and needs of the youngest inhabitant of the house.

Thirdly I spoke to my stepbrother for the first time in almost a year, I like the guy a lot but any contact I have with him also usually attracts the attention of my wicked stepmom. She has been working herself into my father's life and has been pushing me and my full brother and sister away at the same time. I made the promise to my stepbrother that we will soon get together and have a drink, and that we have to invite our other brother as well.

Fourthly I have started working on my 3D modeling skills, something that I find myself enjoying a lot but being terible at. I did find out that I havew wicked mad texturing skills though.

Fifthly I have been finishing games I hadn't finished yet, Dragon Age origins, Halo ODST, Fable III, all these games only had about two hours of gameplay left when I stopped playing them. And now I have finished them and I can start preparing for playing new games that will soon come out.

Sixthly I have been reading up on Canada, the place I will soon end up, apparently it is big, has crazy politicians, wolverine lives there and their main export product is maple syrup. I think it might be a good idea to read a bit more about them before actually going there.

Sevently I have been working on some school assignments, creating games in flash and writing stories.

Eightly I finished a children's book I wrote and illustrated for my sister's birthday in a couple of months. I'm planning on having it bound and printed soon, maybe send it in to one of the many publishers we have in the Netherlands.
Ninthly I wrote a game soundtrack, using digital software. the idea is to use actual instruments and replaying each of the individual digital components to make it sound more natural and use it as the soundtrack for a fighter game I'm working on.

Tenthly, if that is even a word, I started working on a massive clean up operation, ridding my room of filth, dirt, deadness and ooze lying around everywhere.

And that's about it.
The feeling you get, right before you poop.
That's the best feeling in the world.

Heh… I usually stomp on it myself, and sometimes I even stand and “hop” on the wrench to move the lugnut. The 25lb sledgehammer is there just in case I'm not able to apply enough force to it to make it come off (a couple sprays of that acid in the blue can helps too).

Nut Buster? Ow… that sounds painful… nearly as painful as having a set of family jewels cut off with a jagged, rusty blunt dagger…

Maybe I shouldn't have elaborated…

@Kroatz

Yeah on Farscape the main character totally ruined it for me. He was just such a moron and the show is always going on about how he's some super smart scientist yet he shows the intellectual response of a brain-dead jock.

In a similar vein this needs a blu-ray release. I saw a preview of the star wars complete saga blu-ray at wal-mart-holy and shit it was beautiful.

@Skull and Kroatz…

Whaaaa? John Crighton is ok. He tries to be a jock but he's no where near as physically able as any of his other crewmates except for Rigel.

I still love the show. The 2nd and third series were the best though. The fourth isn't bad but not quite as sharp. Sorpius made a much better villain than Graza.

Whoa, that would be cool too! I imagine it would be pretty hard to make a spaceship costume, tho.

I miss celebrating Halloween, it's so much fun to dress up.

Haha oh and kind of weird, but my least favorite thing about Halloween is the people who say: “what's the point of Halloween when you can just buuuuy the candy for half off afterward?”

CF is reminding me of TD right now…
