I just woke up this morning to a lovely email from my mother. And when I say lovely, I mean manipulative and bitchy. She's trying to make me feel guilty about bailing out on the family's Thanksgiving plans. I'm beginning to think I was an “oops” child because they visit my brother every month (who lives halfway across the country), and they never visit me (and I'm only about 2 hours from them). They never, ever say they're proud of me or the things I do. I emailed them pictures of my first artist table at a recent convention and I never heard a peep out of them. Hell, my in-laws are more supportive of me and my art than my parents. And that makes me sad.

Today, I was finishing up my animation midterm project. Next thing I know, Flash tells me there's some sort of SWF error. I couldn't read the message fast enough because my laptop decided to shut down soon after.
And to my extreme horror I realized I hadn't saved for hours, losing about half of my animation.
I kick myself for always forgetting to save.

So I mentioned to the owner of the gallery I'm displaying at that I'd probably have to pull my work due to lack of sales and me being unable to support the space's rent because of it, about two weeks ago. Lo and behold, I contact the gallery's desk person to find out if I've sold anything yet, and I've sold 7 pieces. Granted, each of those pieces was only $5 each, but that's enough to cover one month's rent and 3/4 of another. Amazing what coincidences happen when you mention you might have to pull your work. Either it's the holiday season coming up, or somehow I suddenly started getting a lot more advertising.
Now to get to work on these designs for that contest I was going to enter. Maybe someday I'll actually get around to updating my comic again. Or even start working on that story idea I had from going back home to the slums my old neighborhoods have become. ‘course, explaining that is a whole ’nother essay-long explanation in and of itself.

So I was painting today and was really happy with how the piece was coming along…I think I'm finally slightly better with water colours. The art teacher even used mine as an example to show to another student who was having trouble with the assignment.

so i did my speech wrong. apparently there was a outline, i just had to fill in the blanks on the subject. awesome. so i start doing that. and i got BSOD'd. nice right? so i spent the next thirty minutes dusting my computer…turns out, it needed it. really bad. shoulda done it last month, when i bought the air.
log back in, even with Open Office's auto save, i lost everything. RAAAGE QUIT.

Lately i've been giving serious thought to getting a job and moving out. I'm a little scared of getting a job though, so many chances to fuck everything up with my hearing problem. @_@
Damn it..i should try to see if i can't get it done for free, i think i'm eligible for AHCCCS or something.
EDIT: i feel so creeped out when looking at seeking roommate ads and keep seeing blatant ‘FEMALE ONLY’ requirements from male posters.
Then again i sure as hell shouldn't be talking since my future roommate will clearly be some exotic lesbian supermodel who likes video games and comics~~!

2) i got a rapidshare account but forgot how fucking slow the dl speeds on it are (damnit why does the worst Ddl site have the best files)
3)i'd have ditched classes today on account of not feeling well but i have a paper due and can only turn it in today.
Great one of the doofuses is mistaking my =_= looks and exasperated sighs as romantic interest, jesus h. christ.

Worst things in the world… I hate those sorts of feelings, its much, much worse when you're really attracted to someone- and it doesn't matter whether it's online or not, you have all those stupid upswings, euphoria etc and then the plummeting down-swings… Hints and non-hints and interpretations of things are magnified out of all proportion and given enormous weight.
