You're not the only one. Oz's tweet mentioned a server difficulty.

I think the servers should take the test Warpedwenger just took, and W's results would look mild. This DD server acts quite anti-social at times, doesn't it (if you don't mind getting anthropomorphic)

Yes, we do know, Paul. and that's a crime.

Wha? 17 is legal over here. Not for porn but for personal relations sure.

Where do you live, California or the UK?

Trick question, both places are terrible and have stupid laws.

The second part was hooey.

The first part is that DD has a twitter account, so sometimes you can pick news up there.

Pretty sure everywhere has some stupid laws but 16 being the age of consent is neither here nor there. Laws saying 21 to drink alcohol but 18 to do porn, now that is stupid.

Exactly. If I were an 18 year old considering starring in a porn, I'd want some hard liquor first. But maybe that's just me.

My city had an ordinance that made it illegal to have anything that could leave a mark on natural or manmade objects within 100 feet of public property. It was an effort to cut down on vandalism- since they couldn't convict people of the crime, they made the circumstantial evidence worthy of jail time. Leave them keys, markers, and nail polishes at home, kids.

It's legal here, too. Age of consent is 16, younger if the two people are close in age, older if it exploits the person.
I'm pretty sure the age of consent is around 16 in most places other than the US, but I could be wrong.

Pretty sure age of consent is 16 in the States, too. Do know that in NJ, a 14 year-old girl can get an abortion without informing her parents, but cannot drink until 21.

Alcohol is apparently quite awesome.

Alcohol is apparently quite awesome.

In the UK we have to start around age six and are expected to hold 8 pints of bitter without falling over by the age of 13. As far as I'm aware, the age limit only prevents you from selling alcohol to a minor - you can be a teenage drunk no problem. :)

Thought I was almost better but now my teeth feel like they're all falling out. This virus is seriously disturbing my karma - I had to run three miles to pick up my daughter today and after two, my legs collapsed like Bambi on ice.

I don't understand 3d comics. Unless you've made the characters yourself it just seems like the 3d equivalent of a sprite comic.

I didn't until I set bout making them as one off, I've pretty much embraced then since. It's just as much work as doing drawing a comic just in different ways.

It's also time to vote for our mayor and apparently my mom met one of the guys running many years ago. Basically we'd just moved here from las vegas and mom kept everything we owned in a rented storage space. She didn't have enough money to pay it after and was crying on the phone because all the stuff inside was going to be confiscated. That guy basically overheard her and offered to pay for the space.

I told her to write him a letter. Basically that she remembers him all these years and hope he'll show the community that same generosity…

But we had a fun day out :) Pretty much splurging after this hideous and pig disgusting gold necklace ended up being worth 109$ Though i'm sure the Cash4gold place got 6x that…

Do you create your own models though? Using 3d software is the same as using photoshop. Its satisfying if you can draw your own things but the fun is taken away when youre copying and pasting other peoples work. Or in the case of CGI just posing other peoples models. Sure you might make the joints and skeletons but if you cant draw you might as well be writing a book.

Shiny new comic.

I make some models and textures but for the people I use existing models and tailor them to make the characters and then pose them. I started it for a short story only and was a little skeptical as I had seen only a handful of decent poser style comics, but soon saw the potential of it.

As for your last point, no. Regardless of technique it's still a visual thing, getting the most out of what you have and there is satisfaction in that. It is very different from drawing a comic and I enjoy doing both.

So if anyone ever tells you they're vegetarian but they eat fish, you tell them to shove off.
in uhmurrrika we do what we want.

tho i've heard plenty people say that. but i guess you are right with the (super close) comparison of dairy products as well.

legal

Drinking and consenting are all weird rules, that depend on state to state.
consenting-one of the states i've been to basically has a giant math problem that determines if you can ..consent.. at certain ages, and it works out great, because dumb people don't ask for ..consent.. for anyone under 18, and anyone smart enough to figure out the problem are welcome to have babbies.

with drinking, a lot of the places i've been allow for teenage drinking. when they're in their own home, and one state allows for a minor's BAC to be up to .02. (yes i know this isn't much but most states have a .00 allowance)

Why do you keep writing consent like you have some sort of guilt associated with the word?

I employ a 3 year rule. If they're 3 years younger or 3 years older its fine but anything higher than 3 years older or lower than 3 years younger and its a no no.
Pretty much I mean that 17 to 23 is fine for me currently.

—————————————————————————

I just don't get the point. Its just my opinion that instead CGI comic authors should just write a story. Not saying stop doing it and write a book. Its just not my thing.

When I was younger i was more concerned about younger than older, I had a lot of fun with older women. I was 18 or so they were late twenties.

Nowadays… well anyone under 25 seems too young.

Well in that case I apologize. I meant that it was my opinion that they might as well write a story.

Ill phrase it how I meant it. I would rather read a book than a 3d comic.

I meant to put a smiley face with that. I'm not offended.

I do both traditional and 3D stuff and like both, it's just a different medium. Also I enjoy making 3D models but I haven't used many in my comics as yet.

There are some really good 3D comics out there (and some utter shite) and you shouldn't let your distaste for the medium put you off. I used to and dismissed titles like Shaman quest out of hand, now it's one of my favourite comics. How a comic is made doesn't bother me if it's a good comic, be it sprite (although I have never read a good one) photo, poser or traditional.

I just dont like the aesthetics of a lot of them. If you have any recommendations of good ones Id be glad to give them a read but I can't promise Ill like them. I prefer CGI to be animated rather than still frames of poses.
Another thing that kinda puts me off them is the fact that posing is generally piss easy if you know how. Sometimes people pick CGI and think that absolutely bugger all effort needs to go into it they don't even bother and it shows.

Sprite comics as such need a lot of effort on the writing side of things to pull up the general appeal of reading it. Then again they're normally all just shit, written by 12 year olds and called pokemon or megaman verb.
I have however no problem with sprite comics made 100% from scratch that don't use templates.

Shiny new comic.
