Hello, hello lovely Quackateers!

Spring is in the air! So it’s the perfect time to open the windows, sweep away the winter gloom and do some old fashioned housekeeping!

You may have noticed that Twitter has undergone some…changes, recently. After its acquisition from a certain CEO, features that were once free and accessible have been moved behind paywall after paywall, making it ever more challenging to host our weekly community chats.

Time zones, being all wibbly wobbly and timey wimey, meant that I would schedule tweets in advance to ensure that you all got it at the same time every week. Though recently, it has been more hit than miss. It came down to Twitter’s now incompatibility with third party software/platforms.

However, that said, we didn’t want you all to miss out on this awesome community event! Tantz has graciously taken over the posting of chat so that we can continue to have interesting discussions on all things comics. (Thank you so much Tantz for stepping in and helping me with this. It is very much appreciated!)

We are planning on hosting the #Quackchat on the new up-and-comer, BlueSky. BlueSky operates essentially the same as Twitter used to. This is due in thanks to the founders being ex-employees of the aforementioned platform. Once we have the new DrunkDuck account set up over there, we’ll let you all know so that you can follow us over there as well! Watch this space for more info on that.

In other news, the deadline on the Red Carpet event has now closed. However, if you still want to submit a late entry, please message Tantz. You only have until Friday 8th September to do so though, so get in while you still can!
