The solution to the problem is easy. We decide on the one person who is most likely 100% Townie, and then kill the rest. The sole survivor will most likely be Townie and the Mob will all be dead.

It can't, because the mafia would find out who that innocent person is and kill them.

The mob will know who the one certain person is and then kill them. That stratedgy is useless.
The trick is to work out who is a townie and comunicate directly with them, a small cell structure of people who are 100% trusted.
Question is, how do we decide who to 100% trust?
I hope my erratic and insane behaviour will convince you all that I may do crimes, they are never organised! I am as townie as they come.

I'm pretty sure ozone is innocent, and I can definitely vouch for myself. Then again, the mafia seems to be planning to kill me, so nobody confide any secret information you want me to use.

I have a decent list going and a few suspects. It'd help more if the detective would identify themself to me though… Then they could use their skills publicly through me without identifying themselves to the mafia.

It's a hard game and the mafia are clever. They have to be cleverer than us though because they have to pretend they're simple townies with the same worries as us, while all the time they really know what's going on.

Feels like one of the puzzles with missing pieces doesn't it? Though you could have sworn you put them all back into the box…maybe it is under the couch?

Edit: Kinda sucks that nobody fully trusts anybody. Even our mayor was elected because he was the least suspicious.

That's good. I was kind of wondering if the mayor knows who his bodyguards are. If you didn't, that would kind of be unfair. You could have one lynched without knowing it.

I can trust me 100%, and ozone I trust about 54%, cause we we're talking and if he's mafia he's pretty good at appearing to be none mafia. I trust skoolmunkee about 29%. That's about it.
Anyways, I'm thinking of voting to lynch either Hark or los. I'll probably flip a coin.

If you lynch someone who talks crap but is a townie, you have just wasted a turn and effectively lost a life by removing one of your own townies.
My behaviour in terms of trying to get someone else lynched almost immediately served no purpose if I was a mafia as it has just made me a prime suspect for no reason (and the person I voted to lynch got killed by the mob anyway! So no harm, no foul.).
I think we have all established I am just very silly, not mafia. Obviously the mob killed the guy I sugested on a whimp in the hopes of making you want to kill me.
Now I've apologised for my naughty ways and the mayor has given me a full pardon, so killing me because you don't like my ridiculous behaviour wont get any of us anywhere.
You need to be looking for the people who are actually in the mafia, not people who have a sick sense of humour.
You may not like me, but I am still a townie, and you can ill afford to lose too many more townies.

Actually, there is no proof you are a townie. As far as I'm concerned you have a 50/50 chance, same as everyone. It's just out of everyone, I only suspect you, Spang, and leaderofstars. You say you are a townie, but you are still on my suspect list, no offense. And I never said I would definitely vote against you.

I guess I am most suspicious of Harkovast and Leaderofstars.

I don't know who of course, but I think I know why: to throw us all off balance. We suspected Korosu after Harkovast's idiot messing around and they killed him to make it look like a vigilante attack because they knew we believed Harkovast.

You've been forgiven by Ozone, but if Ozone is mafia that doesn't mean much for you… and Ozone is clever enough to pull a bait-and-switch about getting you to make yourself look suspicious, but then supporting you when you ‘promise to be good’. Notice that Ozone switched his vote right away rather than just withdrawing it until later- he is using his weighty vote to direct suspicion onto somebody. Somebody who had not even posted or had any activity at this point, so was less likely than someone else to come back, catch up on everything, and make a good defense of themself. The perfect townie target. If Ozone is mafia he knows who some important people are, and others not worth keeping.

Sorry Ozone but I just don't trust you yet. I don't think anyone should.

Or, if Ozone's not mafia, based on Harkovast's case than ANY person who has acted suspiciously and has made wild accusations or said strange things, if they go to Ozone and whine and cry and promise to be good, should be forgiven and trusted again.

OK, if Korosu was a mafia hit- then the whole thing was VERY likely a setup, because the mafia can coordinate. If Harkovast is mafia, he acted all wild and accused a random person… knowing the mafia was going to hit them. The mafia felt that Hark has a good chance of going unlynched because he's a bit of a fruitcake ;) and it's more likely for people to believe he's just messing around than part of an organized attack.

Or- if they really wanted to mess us up, they would have hit both Korosu AND Harkovast. They would want to kill both the accuser AND the accused because that would be even more confusing and make the vigilante case stronger.

But I also still think that the mafia would NOT want to hit Korosu because as long as he was still alive, he'd be drawing suspicion away from them. AND that would just show the town that Hark was foolish but not dangerous. But that could be EXACTLY part of the mafia plan- getting an innocent killed, but also getting their member Harkovast to look innocent, or at least harmless.

so… are we SURE Harkovast isn't mafia?

Edit: I don't think the mafia would have counted on it looking like a vigilante. It's far more likely that a mafia is willing to kill someone the first night than a vigilante, because at that point there are absolutely no clues and a vigilante wouldn't want to waste one of their kills. It was probably supposed to look like a mob hit- but why?
