More than that… it's like chess from the townie side, in that any possible move, no matter how much you know, is possible to have benefits as well as the possibility of getting you in more trouble…

Or causing different troubles altogether.

I think it's best just to jump in and take some action based on the best intelligence you have at the time: a bit like what George Bush Jnr and Tony Blair did, but for the right reasons. :)

I don't think there should even be a lynch today. There's a better chance of eliminating townie anyways. Here's a suggestion, though. Why doesn't everyone just post his or her own respective role, and any quantity of roles that don't match up with the actual numbers, we investigate those who posted those mismatched roles. Anyone who doesn't post would also be a suspect. I say this since no one yet has stated what type of role they have. Even if the mafia members lie, the person with the actual role could object to that, therefore, leaving two sure suspects.

A good reason NOT to do that is that Townies with roles will be the first ones the mafia target. ;)

And it's a lot easier and faster for the mafia to kill than it is for Townies who have to puzzle and debate everything. By the time we'd finished arguing who's really who we'd likely have killed a few of our own and the mafia would be able to kill anyone with a role they wanted.

And besides. Simple townies outnumber Mafia and almost equal townies with a role, so deciding which is real mafia and which is the real townie (without a role) in that big group would be impossible.

The mayor and or pardoner could be Mafia, townie with a role (not bodyguard), or townie without a role.

As mayor I know I'm a townie, but no one else knows that for sure except BK. But that doesn't matter because when I factor the list I can cut myself out when I try and work out the mafias.

But the thing is that when you cut out Korosu as the only confirmed townie with no role and ignoring the mayor and pardoner role that could be either, that leaves us with 7 townies with no role special role.
(whether or not they're now Mayor and or pardoner)

…I hope my maths is right, because I was always shiz at maths.

So Skoolmunkee, the2ndredbaron, highspeedcomics, Nersop, odysseus55, korosu, Vakanai, Gasp Its Jake, SpANG, humorman still have to vote… so maybe we'll see some unexpected results…

Edit: Just as a reminder…please don't send me night actions during the day cycle. I know that looks kind of anal of me but the game operates on a first come first serve basis. This means if I take actions outside of the night cycle, then others will start doing so as well (so as to be first.)

It was between Gasp Its Jake and you. I left Spang out because I'm not so sure about him. The clues are enough to condemn Jake. But you…you lead to getting someone else killed. We must be a close knit society. What you did was the equivalent of yelling “fire” in the theater.

And it isn't personal. It is just a game.

Like I keep saying, what I did was bad (hillarious, but bad) but it was evil unrelated to the mafia threat.
If you waste lynchings on me because I am scum, then you are missing chances to kill the mafia.
And losing a townie (even a shitty townie like me) is still losses that the forces of good cannot afford.

Sorry but that's poor reasoning! If it's true that both you and Korosu are townies, and the mafia killed Korosu (which we don't know for sure yet), they targeted Korosu because YOU had brought him to attention. He would have been completely ignored otherwise. You were reckless with another townie's life, so you're responsible for his killing.

I am probably going to be voting as late as I can (the day's turnover is 1am for me so I can't actually stay up to the end) because I'm the pardoner. I want to see how voting is going before I decide to pardon someone.

It gets difficult to sub-reason and second guess in this game so I am sticking to as simple of logic as I can.

I have to say though that I don't see much reason to save leaderofstars even if he is the vigilante. He's probably not going to survive the night. I'd rather use my pardon on someone who is completely unknown and does not arouse crazy suspicion to themselves - leaderofstars blew it. Otherwise we might lose 2 or even 3 townies tonight (think about it- if leaderofstars is pardoned, he's going to kill someone randomly in the night so he can try to get an action in before he himself is killed. Much greater chance of a townie dying.)

I'm thinking SpANG is much more worth saving at this point. I'm 95% certainly going to pardon SpANG unless something amazing happens in the next 8 hours. Unlike Ozone, I'm not convinced at all that he's mafia. Someone not saying much is a poor reason to think they're mafia. I think he's just been too busy to pay much attention to the game. My earlier clue rundown seemed bad for him in comparison to the others, but I don't think it was particularly strong. I doubt clues will be based solely on what comics a person has recommended. While I agree SpANG might not be innocent, he has a much better chance of being useful at this point than leaderofstars.

Sorry man. If you're really the vigilante it sucks for you but you brought it on yourself by panicking. If you're a mafia (a 66% chance after all- 2 mafia and only 1 vigilante) then… good, we got you!

I've got two pardons. :] I am just really doubtful that Spang is suspicious enough to lynch. If I use them both up right away for that, then oh well, I've done my best and will have to hope people vote carefully. Like me, some people are just acting on their own conscience so far as there's little in the way of clues or trust.

Wouldn't it look terribly obvious if I pardoned my own mafia on the very first day? That would just make two people suspicious right away. Why not just have the godfather use his? The town wouldn't know. If I were pardoning a mafia I'd have kept quiet about it.

Don't tell me I look suspicious for pardoning someone when you're the one who wants to have a double lynching tomorrow lol! You're only saying my using the pardon looks suspicious because I want to save the person you're voting to lynch. If I used it on a person you want to save and weren't currently voting to lynch… that wouldn't look suspicious to you at all, would it?

I'm worried about dying because neither of us has ever trusted the other and I know it will come down to you vs. me eventually. I can at least try to save some people I think aren't suspicious before then.

But ozone has flipped his votes around a couple of times if you remember…he is just as negligent of the townie life. I don't think that one should vote unless they are sure they will go through with it. I don't think this will end in lynch for you, so that is why I'm voting. Well…I hope not. And I hope that you aren't a surviving mafia person then…

I'm not saying ‘everyone vote to lynch leaderofstars because he should die’. If you've noticed, leaderofstars is not even in the lead. People can vote for whomever they want, but as it stands leaderofstars does not even NEED a pardon. SpANG does.

You make it sound like I want to actively kill leaderofstars, which is not true. If he survives the vote, he can carry on, but because he's now such a target will certainly be hit by someone whether he's mafia or not. I don't want to waste a pardon on someone whose chances of surviving the first five minutes of night is extremely slim. spang at this point is an unknown to me so it may be that he's one of the missing useful townies. Pardoning him has a better chance of paying off.

If townies aren't sure whether ANYONE is guilty enough to be lynched, they can all vote for SpANG (or no one). I'm using my pardon on him, unless he shows up and announces he's a mafia or something. See this is why I (mistakenly) ran for pardoner. Skoolmunkee is goning to pardon SOMEBODY this cycle. I think thats nice and all but I would save those for ME!
