I got spanked for typing anus and necroposting in one, I'm a bad man.
Man, what a tight ass.
Or should I say… anus?
I remember that thread: “How will this kill me?” It was a fun game. created by . . . a funny featured guy.

I fail to read this thread for a couple days and it turns into bizarre lefarce/ozone shenanigans? I gotta get my shipping chart and start some epic fanfiction

God I have the most terrible cold or something right now, I don't even know. It's obviously divine retribution because a few days ago I was cheerfully telling someone about my faultless immune system, but I REALLY could have timed my hubris better because there are three papers due next week >:|

Ive set mile stones and everything up to them and past them will be improvised.

Now I'm reminded of the song Genejoke mentioned…

What if “My Humps, my humps, my lovely lady bumps” referred to benign tumours? Oh what a strange would it would be. T_T

I can say “arse”, “wank”, “sod”, and “bugger” because Americans know not of their true power, but the F word results in a sound effect of some sort.
-Which means I should say it more because I always find that I enjoy more bleeps rather than less, don't you?

Apparently british people call vaginas “minge”? That's so gross…it sounds like a fungus or asbestos byproduct.

“arse, ”wank“, ”fanny“ are like watered down swear words a kid would use here. American swear words are really short and have really harsh consonants, while those sound so soft.

But pretty much a culture thing. Like i bet in another country someone is all like ”those american swear words are so short and lame. And apparently they call vaginas ‘pussy’? that sounds like an oozing wart or freon byproduct."

But pretty much a culture thing.
That's it. ^_^
It means that if you're from another culture you can get away with a lot… as long as you stay away from the old ancient Anglo-Saxon cross-cultural ones :the F and the C, tits, and shit which all we English speakers share, etc.

Though it will always, always, always bemuse me the way the childsafe version of “arse” which was “ass” actually became the offensive one in the US and the original form became the safe one. That's quite a magical anime type sexchange for the poor words…

———————————–

I was reading a bit of an article about how plastic surgery is becoming more common and widespread these days and what that means for changing ideas of beauty… And that got me thinking that it'll probably head in the opposite direction like what happened with the fake breast fad: people used to think they were fascinating and sexy, but now most people think of them as a bit freakish and weird unless they're really well done to look natural.

That got me thinking that people with overly feline eyes, sharp cheekbones, geometrically copy-paste and flip symmetrical faces, nova bright white teeth, and women's magazine full page add perfect hair will start to seem more and more freakish and weird to people…

Which finally got me thinking that instead of drawing my comic characters with the Photoshop-enhanced magazine cover model in the back of my mind for reference, that the best way to go would be to continue the trend I started with Pinky's bumpy nose and try and bake in more little “imperfections” around about on my characters and figures.
“Character” faces are more fun to draw anyway. Ultra perfect mannequin type faces in Marvel type comics already seem a lot weirder to me than any manga style ones ever did.

Beauty…

reminded me of some songs which sort reflect what I think on the subject. Very few people are physically ugly, but damn a bad personality can mar the prettiest visage.

Can't drink you pretty by Ginger

One glass of wine down
It hasn’t been a good year.
A shot or two of Absolut,
And now you got an attitude.
3, 4, 5 from the whiskey distiller
And a sixth of tequila
And I still want to kill her

Well I can’t drink you pretty, it’s true.
Can’t drink you pretty, no can do.
Well your beauty’s only skin deep
But your ugliness goes the whole way through.
It’s true.

Clock strikes seven,
And still no forgetting
Your face with the chasers
8, 9, 10, 11
And twelve-o-clock don’t rock
And I’m getting sicker
To make you a catch
Is gonna take some more liquor

Well I can’t drink you pretty, it’s true.
Can’t drink you pretty, no can do.
Well your beauty’s only skin deep
But your ugliness goes the whole way through.
It’s true.

————–

Ugly by the dreaming

You're beautiful but your soul is cold and dead
Angelic, but a demon fills your head
The nirvana that you promised life could be
Was a deadly blend of hell and ecstacy

God you are so beautiful
Til' I looked in your eyes

(Chorus)
Now I know you're so ugly
I know you're so ugly on the inside
I know you're so ugly
So beautiful but ugly on the inside
On the inside

So beautiful but ice runs through your veins
Slowly draining all my life away
Perfection in a shell devoid of life
You leave a trail of broken dreams behind

God you are so beautiful
Til' I looked in your eyes

(Chorus)

Beautiful
So Beautiful
Beautiful
Til' I looked in your eyes
Beautiful
So Beautiful
So Beautiful til' I looked in your eyes

All those much loved, classic swear words were spoken quite lustily and with much vigour by the Elizabethans (and earlier folk)… why do people always think we only talk like that these days?

Those brave Elizabethans were a lot earthier than popular culture would have us believe. :(

I'm actually pondering a small change of plans (or rather returning to an earlier plan), that is, before I start my superlong ongoing title I should do a single graphic novel… maybe.

On one end it's a sound idea, I'll have something self-contained to sell and it'll be a good “warmup” to longer work, on the other hand I'll be again delaying the big one.

Then again seeing that I'll need a day job soon anyway, maybe it's smart to do something shorter? I don't know anymore.

There's been a mumps outbreak at my school.

Mumps.

I'm vaccinated so I should be fine, but really now, that's like the last thing you'd expect an out break of at a college. Mono, pink eye, swine flu…. all make so much more sense. But we have mumps, and apparently enough cases of it to be considered an outbreak by the college. : |

I've been known to sound like a Shakespearean monologue when I'm passionately angry. It doesn't happen very often, but its often a string of semi-archaic, long words spoken like I'm chewing scenery. There's also some sort of rhyme scheme that sneaks in.

Take those generated insults, replace the “thou” with “you” and say em with passion and you can almost get away with them.

———————
I had a task or two I didn't want to do yesterday, so I stalled by painting pictures of my ex's. In retrospect, that may not have been the healthiest decision. On the plus side, while the guy one of em cheated on me with is probably still a douche, and I could complain all day about how financially irresponsible he is or rant about her dropping out of college- but I have to admit she looks adorable with the baby. Sigh.

—————–
I've made 16 comic pages in the last three days, all of which are 10-15 minutes of touch-ups away from being finished, but I still feel under accomplished. It's moments like these when it's obvious my self-expectations are whack.

Whichever way, do it because the project is cool and deserves to be done. If that means one big project, kudos. If it means a bunch of smaller, but relatively equally cool projects, extra kudos. I'm personally a fan of smaller works because it gives more variety to the Awesome- and I like a diverse Awesome- but the power of an epic is hard to deny.

I think both deserve to be done. And so does the 4 volume one I have written and also the 300 page color one (that I'm envisioning as 6 50-page books) and the 200 page one that I need to rewrite… and… oh yeah, the two I'm pondering? One's sort of a loose alternative history fantasy (that is, screw the historical accurancy, haha, but no magic) that should clock around 200 pages, and the other one's an ongoing remake (and an expansion) of my old webcomic.

Nevermind that through all of this I'm going through a minor artistic breakdown (the things I pencilled two months ago appear to look better and so do the inks even though I drew them faster than the new pages, which could be just me seeing things or an actual loss of skills) and hardware issues (with the tablet getting a little in the way of good art).

The shorter book means researching armor and drawing lots of horses, argh.
I guess I have to stop dloading fetishy images and start grabbing lots of visual reference…
