“my humps, my humps, my lovely lady lumps!”
And I'm sure they
ARE lovely.
And completely benign…
lol!

But pretty much a culture thing.
That's it. ^_^
It means that if you're from another culture you can get away with a lot… as long as you stay away from the old ancient Anglo-Saxon cross-cultural ones :the F and the C, tits, and shit which all we English speakers share, etc.
Though it will always, always,
always bemuse me the way the childsafe version of “arse” which was “ass” actually
became the offensive one in the US and the original form became the safe one. That's quite a magical anime type sexchange for the poor words…

I was reading a bit of an article about how plastic surgery is becoming more common and widespread these days and what that means for changing ideas of beauty… And that got me thinking that it'll probably head in the opposite direction like what happened with the fake breast fad: people used to think they were fascinating and sexy, but now most people think of them as a bit freakish and weird unless they're
really well done to look natural.
That got me thinking that people with overly feline eyes, sharp cheekbones, geometrically copy-paste and flip symmetrical faces, nova bright white teeth, and women's magazine full page add perfect hair will start to seem more and more freakish and weird to people…
Which finally got me thinking that instead of drawing my comic characters with the Photoshop-enhanced magazine cover model in the back of my mind for reference, that the best way to go would be to continue the trend I started with Pinky's bumpy nose and try and bake in more little “imperfections” around about on my characters and figures.
“Character” faces are more fun to draw anyway. Ultra perfect mannequin type faces in Marvel type comics already seem a lot weirder to me than any manga style ones
ever did.
