I put my chickies box outside and all of them went towards the patch of light, laid on their sides, and stretched out a wing.

It was very funny…like chicken ballerina.

I've been so reclusive these past couple days.

About that whole royal wedding thing…it's a wedding. Of two people. And they're British. And they're all lovey-dovey. That's it.

So, anyone else like those fake trailer things on youtube? Cuz I find them funny. Even the parts where they make movie trailers.

Been years since I was here. I've been at rehab since. So uh. Yknow, things got interesting.

Can any British users explain to me why so many people care about this thing?

And couldn't the focus of the government of England work on, I don't know, the problems of the people? The protests aren't even that violent. I think that perhaps the needs of the country as a whole could take primary importance.

But nope, all the radio hosts in North Carolina are either talking about the latest intel they got on it, or the metal DJ's who say “Who gives a fuck, heres some Ozzy”

the royal wedding? I think there are more Americans hyped up about it than Brits (but then there are more Americans anyway).

It's fairy tale stuff to a lot of people.

And its Big Bucks to A LOT of people. London is looking at a bonanza of tourist dollars this week and next.

I normally have a resilient stomach, but i almost barfed a bit. tho i guess it's no worse than what i've been saying all day.
——

Speaking of which, i'm only going to get 2/3 of a gallon before times up. if i stayed up all night drinking water, i might make it. but i have the gym in the morning. the worst part is i have to go downstairs if i wake up in the middle of the night to go.
i never felt anything wrong with my abdomen. but now, i'm freaking out, i don't know if every gurgle is more sinister than it seems…i can't tell if i'm hyper aware of my stomach in a hypochondriac type of way, or if that's actual problems. oh well, i see the doctor in the morning, and i haven't had any major symptoms they told me to go in for.

and the reason i've posted so much recently, is cause i like the attention, and work has given me a ton of time off to do all this.

I honestly can't. Big fucking waste of tax payers money. wasted on big fucking waste of tax payers money. Why the hell we even have a royal family anymore is beyond me. Well apart from as a tourist attraction, maybe we should put them in a theme park and sell tickets, then put the proceeds into a state pensions or something.

Pomp, pageant and lots of cool stuff with horses and uniforms and impressive clergymen. Yup that's the royal wedding.

Waste of money? Merchandising, merchandising, merchandising. It could rescue the British economy. You see no one cares when the Crown Prince of Bumpass marries the Duchess of East Fenwick but Britain and everybody pays attention! (Unless a movie star marries an obscure Prince of minor island nation whose only claims to fame is a casino, a car race and an orchestra. Princess Grace. That wedding was the biggest before Di)

You'd think Britain was the only monarchy in Europe. It isn't. They just have the best merchandising and publicity.

I'm going to the doctor today about my shoulder. again. normally they give me a choice. i can get some motrin, and hope it goes away, or i can take some magical shtuff that heals muscle, even while working it out, but go DNIF (Duties Not Including Flying). Now before i couldn't do that, because i'm an instructor and flying 2-3 times a week. but now that i have a kidney stone, i'm mandatory DNIF. So maybe this magic medicine will not interfere with my kidney researches and any possible medicines they give me. and my shoulder problems will be done once and for all.

Porn- I don't mind anyone looking at it, as long as it's private. -_-
————–

Royal wedding and royalty etc- It really gives much the same effect as something like the American movie industry, but compared to that it's way, way, way cheaper. So all up it's actually pretty good value.
i.e. Helps with the “Brand recognition” of the whole country, helps in the spread of British cultural exports, helps bring in millions of tourist dollars etc.
To get the same effect other countries have to spend far more.

The British monarchy isn't popularised by merchandising. It's popularised because of Britain's remaining status as the pre-eminent European power (back when that was the case), plus the royals are still significant in all the commonwealth countries globally AND in countries like the US that are culturally related to Britain.
The merchandising is just crap that various companies cash in on.

Meanwhile, I do my best to ignore the whole thing. Still, it's funny how much Willy is starting to look like his grandfather. Going bald in the same place too.

BTW Scarf- the razor thing.
-Not dull. It was a very sharp blade. The problem was caused by too close a shave. ;)

Eh, I don't think we're even a monarchy anymore. We have a monarchy, but they just sit around looking important and doing nothing nowadays. The prime minister(s) makes all the stupid important decisions.
I'm not really around much anymore, but here's my Tumblr, Twitter, and Deviantart. Also if you remember me from back when I was around, I'm sorry.

Aaaaand I'm creatively stuck.

See, I was looking through some Italian comics (a couple of Polish translations that I actually own and a couple of translated/untranslated scans) and I noticed that there was a big trend somewhere in the 60s-70s to do pocket sized books with only two panels per page (and occasional splash page).

And I must say, it looks like an interesting experiment to mess around with. Perhaps two panels, no deviations, approach? This means each spread is a 4 panel beat, you have to work to make the stuff function properly. Doing grids is actually not that easy. Think of making a strip with a fixed number of panels. It's not that easy to get the beats right so that the punchline etc. works properly. Same goes for any other rigid grid format.

Still, I want to try this, I want to see where it could take me.

So… two panels per page, black and white, digest sized. Probably 100+ pages. Pencils + gelpens/ballpoints/anything that makes ink marks on the page.

And then I start sifting through the archive of my projects and ideas… and I can't make up my mind what to choose!

Been banging my head against this wall for the last couple days now.

Oh well, I'll come up with something.

*ignores all the wedding related stuff*

It's interesting how comics take different shapes all over the world.

Italians had these pocket sized thingies (and they are pocket sized, they're shorter than Tokyopop/Ka-blam sized mangas and slightly narrower too… well, at least in Polish edition) that ran for 100 or more pages (and Dylan Dog has been coming out monthly in a 96 page pocketbook for something like 20 years now) and the old stuff was two panels per page.

Then there are Euro-sized comics. A4 format and 48-64 pages (or even more). Whereas specifically Polish comics either mimicked the European format or went with A4, B5 or A5 sized issues of around 32 pages. And then there was a bunch of square sized books.
And our reprints of American comics had two issues in each issue, whereas I think Brazilian ones have more than that but are smaller format (closer to 6x9?)

And obviously there's manga… wait, I'm ranting again! Oh well, enough of this, time to stare at the list of ideas again :D

You could try venturing into cell-phone comics/use a digital approach? Like using flash or whatever to zoom in on panels, add SFX movements, make text appear to be ‘being said’. etc.

Oh god, no, anything but that! I HATE that shit, sorry. Whenever I see a comic done that way I close it within a minute or two of starting to read.

Part of the magic of comics lies in the fact that it is the reader who controls the pacing by deciding how much time they want to spend on each panel/page.

Anyway, the problem isn't the format but what exactly to do. Which story of the hundred or so sitting in my notes to develop, write and draw.

I don't know why so many people appear to have it in for our lovely young Saxe-Coburgs. I find it rather refreshing to see a celebrity couple who won't be selling their wedding pictures to Hello magazine for an extortionate sum. Makes me proud to be downtrodden and British.

no more rants about peeing in a jug for this user…for now. nope, i'm on to money situations.

See i can pay off my bills. (minus the cars). and then have a couple bucks for an emergency. and then in turn, i'd have an extra hundred bucks or so at the end of every month to put back into savings. however. i'm not the kind of guy to put money into savings. money which could very well go towards….things. and stuff. like. an air compressor, with associated tools, which will be needed for the car work. and spray guns, so i can do my own custom paint jobs.

i could put that money towards a truck to haul my newly painted car around.
It's taking every ounce of strength i have not to live like the average american…and it hurts. why do i want things, and stuff?

So I figured I'd try to teach myself to play piano again and so far so well.

I also figured out how to make it play some nice beats so you can bet I'll be making some raps for y'all when I can.

I also plugged it into my amp and made it sound like an electric guitar.

Sadly I sounded better soloing on the piano rather than my real guitar.

But it was AWESOME.

Today was friday friday…

and I learned how to play friday friday…

but I learned it on thursday thursday…

(You see, I now understand what's awesome about playing/singing that-pissing people off with it.)

Just finished making spaghetti for dinner. It could've been better had I overcooked the noodles… or even checked to see if I had actually bought regular noodles instead of the really thin stuff…

Maybe if I'm bored enough I'll try creating ice cream pizza… just like regular pizza but instead of cheese and pepperoni, it would be other stuff… Ice cream, vanilla wafers, fruit slices, sprinkles, etc… all on a large crust made of the same stuff you use to make soft chocolate chip cookies. And maybe make it so the outer crust is filled with vanilla, fudge, or some fruity filling. And then I could create a restaurant to serve the stuff. No takeout though since ice cream can melt really fast. -_-

Still playing R-Type Final (I love this game a bit too much). Decided to fly the ship “Platonic Love” in the game for a few minutes to unlock other ships. Felt like I was flying a beating human heart with wings… eww… And the Love Force? A nice pink heart encased in glass… that kills things. Is it really necessary to kill things with Love? O_O

Youtube: R-Type Final “BX-2 Platonic Love” Fighter

I guess you CAN kill things with love. Oh… and don't mind the background too much. The aliens have one freaky mind… And I just realized… you're flying a “heart” through the heart of enemy territory.
