must….not….buy….truck.

car….is….too…awesome….for trade…..

strong will and determination…..fading….

Trucks eat more gas, and gas prices are rising. Think about it a bit…. :)

Around here fuel is going for $4.60 a gallon now, and it may go up another 10 cents in the next two weeks… I'm very tempted to get a scooter just to keep fuel usage down…

We found the scrub jays nest. Over the past few days they were going nuts attacking the outside cat. Kinda amusing since Grimmy never stirred from his sleep when they were squawking and swooping at him. Heh. Dumb birds.

Also i just got bit or stung by something when i was looking at the nest. -_- It's itchy! Dad has the same mark from working this morning…me and dad have been talking a lot lately since mom's either working or being a bitch. On one hand it sucks since moms all cranky, but then on another i finally have conversations with my father that aren't awkward as hell.

He doesn't get my jokes though…that's okay. His suck too.

It's hard to tell what's actually going on in the US sometimes. I was just listening to a clip(2 years old tho, so a little outdated I suppose) where Glenn Beck says that there is a “lottery” over here in Canada to decided who gets to see a doctor. Do people actually believe these things?
When I need to go to the doctor, I call her secretary and make an appointment. Usually for sometime in the next couple of days. If he's talking about seeing specialists that can sometimes be a bit of a wait(I've had to wait a few weeks) but you just set an appointment for that too…
I can't figure out where the lottery bit comes from at all, assuming it's not just an outright lie.

The new franchisee seems really nice so far. I'm the youngest so she's not having my close on my own, and she gave me the days before my exams off(without me asking her).

So today my dad decided to be a giant dick to me as he made me do yet another full day of yardwork, missing breakfast and lunch.

Doctor Who is so outrageous but I'll give it the credit of having and acutual intriguing plot for once.

So congrats for not sucking today, Doctor.

I've been working really hard on learning a ton of piano.

Songs I'm learning right now (they're basic):

Poker Face (acoustic) by Lady Gaga
Art is Dead and I'm Bo Yo by Bo Burnham
Brick by Ben Folds Five

and…Just a Friend by Biz Markie.

:)

And considering that, any suggestions from the ducker community.

I just love it when my friends plan to go to the movies, and then don't bother to tell me its cancelled, so I rock up by myself and wait for two and a half hours on my own in the freezing cold while getting cat called at by random guys. It didn't help that I had to use a pay phone four times because I didn't have my phone with me, it didn't help that I had to wonder for at least half an hour to find a pay phone, and it didn't help that mum didn't get my sobbing messages until an hour later.

Whoopdeedoo… :/

@Skullbie: glad your Dad IS okay - that's a lot of pollution he's racked up. btw: I love reading the updates on your chicks; they crack me up.

@Genejoke: Congrats to you and the Mrs! this is the itchy year, if Marilyn Monroe pictures are anything to go by.

@1337: I don't know what kind of piano music they use (in fact, I think it's the bongos that I really hear) but I like most stuff by Guster and Vampire Weekend

I remember one guy I had to deal with while being assigned to a condominium compound (basically a bunch of buildings that are rented/owned in a secure fenced in area). There was this one guy who was constantly drunk. Apparently his wife is doing all the work and all he does is drink because I've never seen him sober even once. How can one person be drunk 24/7 and not have their liver burn out? O_O

So they're claiming on Yahoo news now that they've killed Osama Bin Laden and have his body in possession (talk about left field). Do you think it's legit?

Re Osama- Probably legit. It's just a political win now.
After the deaths of so many in the Afghan and Iraq invasions, not to mention the Libyan bombings, Osama sort of pales in comparison as the cartoon badguy now. If he'd have lived 1000 years I doubt he could have been that destructive. -_-

Why, because I think in terms of the bigger picture?

I'm sorry, but it's really, really hard to muster much excitement over the death of that one guy when put against a decade of war that used him as justification.

The only positive I take out of it is that it may boost Obama's chances for re-election

Seconded.

There is so much anti-American sentiment in the Middle East its really bizarre to think that terrorist attacks will stop just because of his death. :/ But then again, here in America people love the hype.

Considering he is the face of that organization, yes, it is understandable for people to get excited and be happy about it. Does it mean all our problems will magically go away, or that the wars were somehow retroactively justified? No.

But at the same time it doesn't mean you should sit there and be a dick and go "gheh, so what B)"

I don't agree Americans so much like hype as the media stations do, which are pretty much political mouthpieces. We'll be hearing about this non-stop for the next month mark my words. -.-

No one's saying terrorism is just going to stop (unless they're FULL RETARD) but it is exciting news to hear.

I never said it wasn't positive news, it is a good step in the right direction, but it's no where near the end of this country's problems.

And Americans do love to hype things, lol, if not then then news stations wouldn't be that way. I'm just waiting for the t-shirts and bumper stickers to come out for this, it's bound to happen.

And people *are* already implying “this is the end of the conflict in Afghanistan!” and “the war on terrorism is over” already. I'd have never said that if people weren't already going around and saying it. Is it a dumb assumption, um, obviously, but people are saying it and there are a lot of stupid people.
