So it's Christmas Day when I'm writing this- yesterday for you reader reading these lines.

Anyone who knows me, knows I've been running full speed for quite a bit of time, doing my best to meet every deadline, every obligation and responsibility I got, business, family, and art-wise.

It's been very tiring. And it's also been very rewarding! I'm not complaining, as I opted in for every single one of the obligations I got!

However, sometimes I forget that I'm not a machine, but only a human, and humans need some down time.

So today, writing on Christmas Day, I decided I won't write the article I had in mind, but instead take the time to talk about how we all need to remember we're only human, and humans need respite.

Especially after a very tough year- on the soul, the mind, the body, and the pocket.

Take the time to offer kindness to yourself, to let yourself rest and take a break in whatever way you know will help you. Watch a movie, stay in bed all day, dress up and cook a great meal, whatever. As much as you can, put down your burden and recharge so you can pick it back up again with renewed energy.

Being kind to ourselves, loving ourselves, is the first step to being kind and loving to others, too.

We all give from what reserves we got, says the Man whose birthday is today (for those of us who observe it), so let's make sure we keep them as filled as possible.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays for all others around this time of year. Let's look forward to a constructive and positive 2021.
