This is the final version of the front page pretty much:

Alexey will now be working on the back-end stuff to make this all usable. There will be things like mouse-over or info tabs on the thumbnails so you can see comic descriptions like you can on the site currently.
You can see the little arrows on the left and right off each list so you can see to scroll for more comics in the lists when they shrink down, as in these examples for mobile screens. 
Faves and recent updates
Now the top row bellow the comic features and first ad has your faves in it! That's an interesting feature. It might be pretty useful to see the latest updates of your fave comics in such an easily accessible place on the front page, with a link to see all the rest.
News and Quackcasts
Here's what the news link looks like. It includes an ad and a playable widget for the Quackcast on the front page which should make it more a part of the site and not just a weird appendix feature that few people actually look at or listen to. Hopefully with it as a more integrated feature on the site we can work out how to change the Quackcast to be more useful to people. I fear we can often get a bit inside our own bums on the Quackcast…
Top ten lists
And finally the rest of the top ten lists. I'm not really sold on those names for them, but maybe that's something that works for people? I don't know. These thumbnails are all a lot bigger than the old ones (as the majority requested), and this splits up the top ten into genres so it makes things not so static, limited, and hard to get into, while still showing the “best of the best” (so to speak), to better showcase what the site has to offer and make it more attractive to readers.

*marks out for favorites updates* THIS is a fantastic addition, 10/10 improvement. I can't even express how much I wanted this and how happy I am to see it included! Hah... wonder what I did that my comics got jokey titles XD (though speaking of super long comic titles, remember when that was a thing back in the day? The one guy did it, suddenly a bunch of folks were testing the character limit!) This is looking really good, I'm hyped! (Also, I thought the silly categories were probably production placeholders, I agree they should probably just be straightforward what categories they are in the end product)

Clean and modern looking, spacious, well appointed - if this had good schools and transport links nearby none of us would be able to afford it.

Great idea with the favourites on the front page! What do newcomers see in its place, i.e. people who aren't logged in! --- Anyways, judging from the preview: me like. Looking forward to it.
