Just remember, Wikipedia is not a reference.
Nope, but often a good summary and a resource for a starting point. Follow the links at the bottom to the *real* references. ;)

Best way I've found to write a term paper: Gather resources. Read them. Set them aside. Just
write without referring to them. That way you can focus on the writing, make nice coherent paragraphs with good flow. Highlight all exact figures in a different color to check later.
Once finished writing, lay out your references and go through your paper by each sentence/paragraph to properly footnote/annotate where those facts come from. If you can't find any reference to support a statement, get rid of it or change it.
Magnum Cum Laude ;)

That said, I'll make my gripe that I REALLY miss graduate school. I was independent. The college gave me a good job teaching labs, and I was really GOOD at term papers and exams… Since graduation, I've had to move back in with my parents (after giving up a dead-end, part-time, minimum wage job) and spend every day on a fruitless and endless job hunt. School was a hundred times easier. I'd rather write term papers than fill out job applications. … Is it legal to write and sell term papers? Eh, not ethical. Damn conscience.
