wo, ironscarf dude. bringin out the Dickens and the Huston. Add Akira Kurosawa and we've got some serious movers and shakers.

— (tentative wildebeests)

fun to post again. hope it lasts. incidentally, at my place of employment, exactly one year ago our corporate server migrated from one content management system to another. It was a major horror show for 24 hours. deja vu
We had three days of the system being down at the library where I work. You'd almost think that it'd be important for a library to be able to catalog items and track whether or not they're checked in and when they're due. Those were some exciting days.

So after redeeming myself from being a thought to be a hater of the duck and its issues, I decided that since I had lost a bunch of images, that I was going to start all over again from scratch.

So I deleted everything! (Except PFA that is-JOIN IT)

But I'll be back with (who'd have guessed it?)

A GOOD COMIC!

Or so I'll think till someone tells me it sucks.

EDIT:

Got an Animation comic up and a journal comic. Just like old times.
:P

- - -

Other than that my throat feels like I swallowed glass, my head feels like I've been listening to ‘What a Horrible Night To Have A Curse’ on repeat, and I've gotten into this 90's band that you all probably already know: Reel Big Fish. (just got the album, known about them a while)

Awesome shit man.

Awesome.

Mine don't either, but I imagine they know about it. The site isn't much else than a forum right now.

lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle.”

To get to your comics to edit them just click “my account” under your avi on the top right hand corner.
It's all fully accessible, just not through the drop down sidebar.

Shit day so far. On top of these idiotic errors on DD, the net on my PCs here at work is running super slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, e-mails aren't downloading from the server at all, clients are being stupider than usual, the art from another client looks like it was done by a 10 year old and I don't know weather they want me to keep it that way or make something GOOD out of it, scanner not working… blah, blah blah. Typical damn Friday. -_-

Thank goodness I haven't had to worry about re-uploading any images, because I spent my whole freaking day trying to find our hamster before one of the cats did.
Somehow last night his cage fell off the shelf(only about a foot off the ground) and completely fell apart. Of course, him and the rat are in their own locked room so they're safe from the cats, but it's a totally different story if he decides to leave the room. Which he did. So I looked ALL over the house, and ended up tailing my cat (who it turns out would make a pretty good mouser). I found him around 11am in the basement(the other end of the house) - he even managed to find a little hiding place with some old dried fruit to eat! But he managed to scurry through a hole in the wall(yeah, our basement is a bit of a dump) before I could catch him.

Then I couldn't find him again. I tried following Baby around, but she couldn't seem to find him either - she kept hanging around a trunk(closed and locked), but when I looked around it I couldn't see the hamster anywhere. We left his cage in the area we thought he was in because last time he got out he made his way downstairs and we found him in his old cage, but he never went to it.

Eventually, around 8:30, my dad catches on that Baby must be staring at the trunk for SOME reason and opens it up - and there's little Despereaux!

I swear our hamster is the reincarnation of Houdini - or at least very, very smart for a hamster. He's amazing. One time he managed to get out of a cage which didn't have any apparent openings at all.

Very exciting day.

My coworkers can be weird sometimes. So I'm playing Harvest Moon: Animal Parade. And in any Harvest Moon game one of the objectives is to obtain a spouse, so I get to work on that (because in this game family members do help out on the farm). Now he thinks I like shy girls more than any other because I chose the shyest one in the game… Well, shy girls can be cute but that doesn't mean they're my first pick out of any group of women out there. And it's just a game for crying out loud and video games aren't equal to “real life”. jeez…

So Rome is managing to creep me out more than Spartacus. Incest, misogyny, and characters with zero sexual chemistry up the ass. A lot of the sex scenes are so fucking awkward i just turn away and rub sandpaper on my face or something else more pleasent. The whole thing makes me want to replay fallout new vegas and rip a new one in ceasars legion again.

Actually speaking of ceasars legion i was really disappointed when ceaser turned out to be some ginger frat boy with a challenged vocabulary. -_- Like the games built him up to seem like this noble talented leader, then he's just your everyday douche.

Also dad and i have been talking more lately. It's kind of nice, though sometimes I'm just going “ah yeah…really? yeah” because i don't know wtf he's on about. But it's an improvement to not talking for weeks straight sometimes. (we're not mad at eachother, just don't have a single thing in common to talk about)

I've spent about 40 hours this week working on this presentation and the things surrounding it. The end result? About one page of speech, single spaced. With about ten to fifteen pages of material either abandoned or rewritten. I was given a task that's nearly impossible: group A says do X, or else they'll cause everything to fall apart. Group B says don't do X, or face similar consequences. And group C says we don't really care about the politics, just make it short and entertaining. And group D is completely in the dark because they're new (and the only hope of this thing surviving in the long term is Group D being ignorant enough to stop the cycle of it all).

So I need to do X, while not doing X, and do it quickly, entertainingly, and in a way where no one has any reason to think there was any conflict over X to begin with.

And looking at this one sheet, all I can think is it's too long >.>

My favorite line so far: “Still, heavy is the head that wears the crown. And since today is a day of lightness, we thought we'd spare our heads for a little bit. They're big enough without being heavy too.”

I can't wait to get back to comics. At least with them, I can try to do the impossible to save the world on MY terms >.>

Sounds familiar, with mine we are very alike but finding something to say can be tricky. Lots of awkward silences.

Ugh… I wish I could talk to my father, but the only subject he will ever talk about is me getting married. It doesn't matter what I try to talk to him about as he'll immediately switch to talking about me getting married by various means… including pulling a random young woman off the street and proposing and even mail order brides. I'm starting to wonder if his old age has finally gone to his mind… -_-

Had to sing a concert while entirely sick.
Not fun.

BUT the concert was great.

now I got two things today.

Setlist for one of them:
Paint It Black - TRS
Love Me Dead - Ludo
Your Decision - Alice in Chains
Are You Gonna Be My Girl? - Jet

I'm playing rhythm guitar and doing back up vocals. (and tambourine but that's different :))

Been trying to make a lot of animations lately and they're on one of my comics called:

ANIMATE

I was getting a shower. Everything was fine. I dried myself off and got dressed. I then noticed that there was a crap load of red bumps about my person. Instantly I thought “Oh dear. What could this be?” So to the internet I went.

Turns out it was an allergy.

So my computer has been blinking (very fast every few minutes or so) and I thought it was because my roommate knocked it on the floor last semester. I finally went to check what it could be on the Mac forums and apparently it was because the graphics card was set to energy saving mode, and since I use large programs like photoshop all the time, it was having seizures.

Lo and behold, now that I have changed it to “better graphics” its no longer blinking and generally running faster.

Fuck year! -coolshades-

Oh wow i just ate this fancy ass sushi. It tasted so good and i didn't even use soy sauce. The guy making the sushi spoke japanese and i pretty much froze like “O_O …what? oh…what?” because I couldn't tell if he was asking me something in english and i was being stupid.

Well anyways much better than that albertsons crap.

For a moment I seriously thought “maybe it's better to delete this all and just move it to my site”.

In the end I opted for less work and reuploaded the pages :P

It looks like my “drawing break” is nearing its end. I haven't drawn anything serious yet but I am again making pages and pages of various doodles, so that's a good start. In creativity department though, this year's March is pretty much a failure. Gotta make April better, I still have to beat 2009's productivity (129 comics pages) and I'm not even halfway done.

Yeah, I imagine this has resulted in quite a few leavers… And you can't blame them.

But in the end, DD has been through it all before and always bounces back in the end. People come and go, but the Duck remains. Nothing has been able to take us down so far, despite all the setbacks over the years.

Wow… so the human body has a thousand times the amount of energy unleashed by the largest nuclear explosion in history…. or so The History Channels “The Universe” episode “Extreme Energy” says. So if I wanted to explode the crust of the planet Earth all I would have to do is find a way to quickly release all the energy of every human body on earth… O_O

Probably not a good idea since there are a lot of people eating refried beans… O_O

I came close, I'm definitely mirroring now. Really hoping that when the new site comes it solves most of the issues.

JOY!!!

I just passed the first black belt test of two. This one was only 1:30, but the actual one is 3 freaking hours!!!

I got through, despite the master saying i wasnt gonna make it! He even made me perform on my own in front of the other masters and my whole group! And he said I was great at sparring.

It was really hard though, my friend didn't pass. She had to bow out twice because she was buckling under the pressure and crying. She was wailing when I left.
An adult had to sit out twice because it was so exausting.

I've got really badly blistered feet now and I can't even help mum down town on Mother's Day, but I'm soo happy about making it, that the pain isn't so bad.

We were all nearly crying under so much pressure, and all bright red and shaking so much we looked like big jelly blobs, but I DID IT!!!!!
