Number 12.


Axel De Veyra is the Master Mentalist, Zener. That's his hero name. He's very striking in his fantastic outfit and cape, showing off his hero muscles and great hair. All in all it's quite a traditional take on the superhero costume concept, but the colour choices and art style make it really stand out.

Zener Master of the Mind! His coloures are violet, white, and dark grey: quite “cool” colours, almost bringing to mind a stormy sky. His conventional superhero outfit consists of super tight trousers, top, and boots, with a belt of purple balls and a flanged domino mask. The trousers and cape are the same dark grey, the cape is affixed by two grey buttons, one at each shoulder. His top and boots are both white with violet motifs. The boots have a stylised stripe and toe in purple, while the top has an inverted pentagon at the neck and chest with a 5 pointed star in the centre (lighter purple, just like the outline), and two purple stripes on either side of the chest that subtly highlight his muscular shape. Lastly the top has two light purple vambrace-like panels on the forearms. Special mention for the striped purple lining of the cape!

So we have a lot of unified colours here. It's a pleasing and sophisticated look. It's super tight and supposed to exemplify and visually display his strength and capabilities (as with all traditional superhero costumes), but the cool colours lend him more class and style than your usual hero outfits. The way it compliments his purplish hair adds to that impression. His cape makes him majestic and dynamic. The ball belt is an unusual touch though. Are they grenades? It tickles something in my brain… I think I've seen something similar on Chinese costumes but I can't be sure.
