It's that time of year again, where preparations and the first stages of the Drunk Duck Awards 2024 are already underway!

It's about time, then, that the Red Carpet opens!

As it was the case the past years it's been running, this year too the Red Carpet Event is here to showcase characters from your webcomics by having them walk the Red Carpet (or Green Carpet, as it was last year) in the most fantastic formal gowns ever!

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's lay down some rules and instructions:

Submissions for the Red Carpet open on May 15 and close on September 15! (nobody will whine if you submit earlier than May 15 tho)

To participate in the Red Carpet event you must have a webcomic hosted on DD and submit up to TWO characters, in TWO VERSIONS, both facing forward (as if posing for a photo, or trying to) at eye-level:

1st set should be your characters as they appear in the comic, in their usual outfits/hairdos/etc.
2nd set should be your SAME characters dressed up in formal clothes as they would if they were actors going to the Oscars.

Both sets should be on TRANSPARENT background. Post the 1st set on this thread.

From your images I will compose two wallpapers commemorating the 2024 DD Awards. The second set will also be presented in a special sequence when the Red Carpet event begins running!


Now, that's really all you have to do. BUT, if you want to help out further, and feel up to making some backgrounds for the event, that will serve as backgrounds for the wallpapers and the Red Carpet entry of the various webcomic characters, I NEED YOU. In total, I need three backgrounds. Each background used will be with credit. Ideally, if we could have three people prove three backgrounds, it would be amazing.

HOWEVER, if you don't feel up to that, it's okay! I'll make the backgrounds. If I don't receive volunteers for this, it won't cripple anything so really only do so if you really feel up to making a background for DD Glamour :D If you DO feel up to that though, please PQ me, I'd love to talk shop further!!
