Fuck i keep making terrible choices in life. And i've pretty much been seeking out things that gave me childhood joy (Pokemon cards and games) to avoid thinking about how unappealing my future seems. It's pathetic because i know what i gotta do to move forward but i don't make the step. Hearing ‘lol you gota just do it’ doesn't work either.
I mean god everyone i know makes work sound like the worst thing on the planet. And it looks like finishing my degree is just more money towards a worthless piece of paper…Even mom called me a loser the other day.

Working is a pain in a lot of ways, but you have a lot more freedom to do the things you want and money to buy the stuff you want ^_^

Looking in a big old dictionary the other day for “catamount” I came across some new (OLD) words:

*Cataphasia- a mental condition where your brain goes funny and you keep on repeating the answer to a question over and over… (that was the definition… sort of)
*Catamenses- (thank that's the spelling) monthly period.
*Catamnesis- patient history, given after discharge from hospital.
Catamite is the best one though. That is a fantastic insult.

I woke up today with a sore throat and tickly ears and a stuffed-feeling face and a headache… I am hoping this is one of those mornings where it's because the weather is changing, and if you hang in there you feel okay by lunchtime. Because I don't want to be sick. Normally I would just be working through it but the headache is making that difficult. At least the work I have to do today is pretty undemanding, and even maybe a bit fun. I might even be able to do it in bed if I use my little laptop… hmm….

Shit's gonna happen regardless make the best of it.
A degree doesn't make you smarter or better but it does prove you worked to get it, Also makes you more employable. Once you have it no one is taking it away.
There is nothing wrong with work… depending on where you work and who you work with/for. Sometimes you have to take the rough with the smooth.
I've loved most of my jobs, the ones I haven't loved are the ones I left.
My biggest regret is letting ill health and poor finances prevent me from getting a degree.

Gosh I hope so - there's a horrible one doing the rounds: My wife's been off all week which is totally unheard of, my kids are throwing up all over the place and I feel how crap must feel when it's feeling crap.
You know when you get that semi hallucinatory vibe going? I made the mistake of YouTubing a song I haven't heard since I was 7 and now I have this playing in my head twenty four seven.

Ironscarf- I don't think it is a flu thing, I think it is a sinus thing. My throat feels better but my head is doing a weird disconnected thing. When I turn it too fast or walk around too much I get all disoriented. HEAD FLUIDS Anyway I am sorry to hear that your whole family is sick, that sounds pretty rotten. I hope you guys feel better soon.
I am pretty lucky when it comes to sickness, I can't remember the last time I was out more than a day. So I'm betting this will be gone by tomorrow. (Which is good.)

We have no idea what difference it'll make to have 7 bajillion hours worth of research to refer to, but I think we should read out our notes in news reader voice just for the fun of it. :)

My dad called the vet today…so far everything is looking good for Buddy. :)
He said the lump on his neck looked harmless, and the one on his side looked “interesting”(so it might have been bad) but also very self-contained, so he's pretty confident it didn't spread anywhere. But we still have to wait for the tests from his lumps to come back.
I think Buddy is totally playing it up, though. He hasn't wanted to eat his dry food much(although he ate a bit today), but he munches on his bull pizzle when I leave the room and he tried to chase one of the cats, so I'm pretty sure he's feeling better. I think he just knows we'll give him wet food if he refuses his dry.
Edit: I forgot to say thanks to everyone for being so awesome and caring about my poor doggy. : )
