Welcome to…
The DD Fashion Spotlight!
Number 13.

Dr Johanna Watson and Shylock Holmes are two anthro versions of guess who? Watson is a mouse-girl and Shylock is a cat woman. They both wear some pretty nice outfits! The author, Baby Doll Daily, is very good with fashion and clothing so in any of her works you're bound to find a bit of a treat.

Shylock

The cover is cool right? Both ladies dressed in versions of late 19th century outfits that are a bit of an alternate world fantasy/historical pastiche.
First up though we have Shylock Holmes. There are 3 main costumes here. The general theme is late 19th century in a gender-swap world, so historical masculine clothes with a feminine bent to them. What Shylock is wearing in the first image reminds me of late 19th century men's loungewear. Wealthy men would wear quite elaborate styles in the privacy of their own studies. We also see her pictured in her prison shirt, a high collared blouse, and black trousers as she relaxes on her sofa. We see from her clothes and poses that she's quite indolent and relaxed, but also keenly aware of shape and figure and more than apt to find clothes that show it to best effect no matter what she's up to!

Dr Watson

Dr Watson has an entirely different style. Unlike Shylock her outfit is more traditionally feminine. We see her in 3 different styles here, both bed wear and outerwear, again these are late 19th century. Dr Watson's colours are blues and cream, matching her hair and eyes. He dresses are heavy on the cleavage, and really tend to emphasise her generous bust as well as her slim waist. She's obviously fond of wearing corsets to give her the exact shape she desires, even with the bed-wear! She's far more careful about how she dresses and appears than Shylock

Both women are dressed for the city- not for action, not for camping, or travel, these are city people. Their clothes are pleasantly historical but not overly so. In both cases their personalities are evident through their fashion choices: The indolence of Holmes and the fastidiousness of Watson. In both cases the designs are testament to the skill and talent of the artist!
