Some people are just insufferable wankers… Irritating people, full of themselves. (like me for example)
But funnily enough, I realise now that even though they can irritate the piss out of you sometimes, they're still good to have around. They add colour and variation.
People who are just rude, nasty, mean jerks however, are not good to have around. I don't miss those ones at all.

Because once that's nailed down, then we'll know what kind of characters we're looking at for try-outs. And who knows? maybe a regional dialect would be a perfect fit!
Also - just in case anyone is in the same boat, I needed to find a microphone and I really like the one I ended up with: Logitech USB for about $20 (from http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002RL84OY) MAJOR CAVEAT: it is NOT compatible with Windows 7. But otherwise I really like it.

*sigh* met a nice girl at work. Would've asked her out… except her boyfriend came to pick her up. Story of my life it is… they're either married, single with boyfriend, single with girlfriend, or they have issues or are undesirable… Oh, well…
At least this morning brought a smile on my face. You see, there's this old guy who likes to be at the front of the turning lane controlled by the traffic light. All too often he just sits there when the light turns green. When the light is about to turn red he goes. Only he gets to go and everyone else (in the now long line waiting to turn) has to stop because the light is red. Too bad for him a policecar saw him pull this stunt again and he got stopped as I went past. Hopefully he's not going to do that ever again.

I'm getting into the clone wars cartoon series. This has got to have the best voice acting i've ever heard. It's so diverse and i can't think of one actor who doesn't make the cut.
Funny because i always thought this was a kids show like ben 10…it has swearing and a lot of adult themes like characters getting murdered. Anyways I'm hooked and happy i gave it a chance.

Someone on dA comments “I can imagine it'd be hard to draw everyone using chopsticks : ( Don't feel too bad most of us would consider it a challenge too. But at least you're trying!”
I have never been so mad at a comment about something I've drawn in my life.

Spent all day spraypainting sets. Wow I might be able to start shooting another script. Are spray cans so much harder to use now or is my hand strength way down? My carpel tunnel is killing me. I had to switch hands as the button got harder and harder to hold down.
Now I have to do the floor panels and the little control crap to add visual interest.

Today the plumber comes and fixes the sink as opposed to last weekend when they cleared the clog. Our secondary sewer line pipe cracked and we got dirt in the sink instead of the water going down.
Now the kitchen sink went ka-fluffle which it does every year because you have to replace the cartridge yearly because it wears out.

I don't see those ads at all so i have no idea.
That said I pay £1 for mine and they work fine. Well the last recording i sent for the quackcast was done with the mic that came with rockband as my old one broke.

I got 5 baby chicks today! I'm worried one of them is retarded….go figure it was my favorite one too. But it keeps doing this weird shit with its head like its praising chicken jesus or something.
There were so many kids there picking up chicks with their parents. One kid started crying because his brother and sister were trying to make him pick one, but he couldn't decide “they look the saaaame bawwwwl”. I sniggered a bit since I have no soul.

And to add insult to injury the American dollar is really weak against the Aussie dollar right now so those headphones would be even cheaper than listed there for me.
Being USB rather than miniplug is an advantage I needed with those particular ones though- much easier to cut out system noise for me. \

I Am The 1337 MasterPart of what's been eating my time is working on stuff for the local May Day celebration. A fraction of it has basically involved codifying the roles of May King / May Queen. I used the opportunity to specifically inject that even though we were using gendered language, it was the explicit policy of the group to respect transgender status… and that even though the iconography was heternormative, there was no need for us to be literal about it. I'm waiting to see if I get run out on a rail…

On a slightly related note, I met someone that is absolutely fascinating and shares most of my interests and is fun to be around. Only two problems: he's pregnant. Oh gender dysphoria, you make life far too interesting (in this cases: female to male transgender, but identifies as a gay dandy instead of a straight butch). Considering that I live in Kansas, I'm not sure how things like this keep becoming issues in my life >.>

I hate when people don't just ‘fess up to things. I was sitting next to a girl in the computer lab today, working on the same project as her. I typed a quotation in to respond to, and immediately afterwards I noticed her typing in the same one. Jokingly I said “Hey, quit stealing my proverbs!” (I didn’t really care if she copied that off of me.) She was like “No! I didn't!”
Which might have been believable, except that I changed the proverb slightly so that it made more sense without the context of the book, and she had made the same exact change.

Ok, now I'm pissed…
So I spent the last few days finishing the new print comic and was ready to send it off to Ka-blam… ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY AXED THE DIGITAL PROOF! So now I HAVE to order at least ONE copy. And I have 2$ in my Ka-blam earnings and exactly 0$ in my Paypal (and whatever I have in my pocket is reserved for food).
That not only won't cover the cost of proof copy, it won't cover the shipping cost either… which I have no idea what they are. The first time I ordered, I paid something around 13$ for shipping of ONE manga sized trade (cause the package was insured and flat rate and all that) and the second time it was three single issues and the shipping also came out a little under 13$.
So I have no goddamn idea whether I'll have to pay 13$ again to ship one comic just so I can put it online…
(I'll send them a message after I have calmed down, right now I feel like punching stuff)

Lovely. I finally figured out how to sync my old XBox 360 controller so that it works with my new XBox 360S. Now I've got two controllers to play with which will make visiting my nieces pretty nice. I just wish they'd stop pressuring me to let them watch me play Dead Space… -_-
