Wow, comicfury is actually really nice. I've kinda been on the fence since it's kind of UGLEH but half of DD is over on the forums anyway lol.

I didn't see a rant and vent thread though. *grumbles*

well then make one. It wouldn't be that hard. I'm sure some people there will know how to follow suit.

mommy and daddy are fighting. this makes me sad on the inside  at least it's not my fault this time, when everything goes to hell (as mommy and daddy are figurative names for people)

I found Vietnam-era jungle boots for $8 at a resale shop today! This is a personal victory, the surplus shop wanted five times more. I wasn't even looking for them this time!

When it comes to finding outlandish, outsized military dress from different eras, I'm surprisingly lucky, as it turns out.

that's because Military surplus stores pay outlandish prices for used military equipment.

True, but idk i'd feel kinda weird if i made that thread then posted in it all the time.

I'm playing the vagina game. Basically you take a movie title and replace one of the words with vagina. So Vaginas on a Plane, V for Vagina, Journey To The Center Of The Vagina, No Vagina for Old Men,Edward Vagina Hands,Vagina Got Fingered

Yeah my first impression of the site was really similar, but I think it's more of being used to one format so much that another seems intimidating or ugly. Your template looks great on there, by the way.

No, that site is just really crude looking. It really is, it's not even ugly in the crazy colour way the preview site is, it's ugly in a clunky squared up, gridded no-idea-at-all about anything about design and layout sort of way. ;)

I'd say what it has going for it is the user customisation possibilities the new DD site lacks, as well some more stability than the current design because of newer code and a minuscule fraction of the userbase and daily traffic. -so yeah, that won't last if it ever picks up to be a big site.

My latest comic page is coming along slowly… Watching the animated Clone wars CGI series as I draw. It's a little bit childish in some ways, but not too bad. I saw life size sculptures of those characters at comic con last year and wondered what they were from.
I'm still a bit surprised at the Aussie-New Zealand accents of the clones. Seems weird. And I didn't know they were on the Rebel side.
Heh, I never saw the last two new Starwars films so I'm a bit left out of the loop there.

The term you are looking for is functional. TD main page has too much going on and nothing to really separate the sections, it's just a jumbled mess of images. Then there is the colours which are hurting my eyes this morning. With a little work the duck main page could be excellent, technically it's good but the design poor.

Lots of aussie accents in them, you'll feel at home. Also nowhere near as bad as people want to make them out to be. Not classics but not ALL bad.

YEAH! Going to see the Doctor Who Experience (£60) as a reward for getting my black belt in taekwando yesterday!!
It was really tough but I made it!!

So, is it worth re-uploading and uploading new/old pages or will the new version of DD delete everything again?

my rant is that not nearly enough people are using the feedback area to report the bugs and complaints they have with the preview site.

how many don't like the color scheme? 4. That's right, only 4 people don't like it. And only two people have a problem with not being able to use raw html. yeah.

Listen: if you have a gripe about the preview, go to: http://getsatisfaction.com/drunkduck/topics You'll have to set up an account which takes about 52 seconds.

Right now, these are the comments (the number following show how many people have reported the same experience).

I really loved it, it gets a lot better in season 2(like…actual story lines and not little snippets) and the DVD cases are awesoooome. BD

Depends… if you want to test out the new features, check if everything runs smoothly etc, then I guess it's worth it.

One of my friend has now been in hospital for three weeks… nothing serious, but the doctors can't find what's wrong but they think it might be Streptococcus variant that infected his blood… well at least beats the original theory/diagnosis of chlamydia :/

I've made a test comic on The Duck that I called “Crap” and I just noticed that on top of the page it now says “Crap on the Duck”. I'm having fun at thinking about some comic names that will sound really funny if “The Duck” is kept.

But that comic is already taken…or was when I made Crap2…

But then I deleted Crap2…

Weird.

Yesterday I raked my lawn (again).

Top Ten Reasons why Raking sucks:

1. Seven dollar rake loses 16 of its 24 “teeth” and don't have any other rakes.
2. Have to deal with little brother being worthless.
3. Only dad gets the leaf blower.
4. Told to rake leaves one way and only that way and then the wind blows the leaves in the other direction.
5. Step in dog shit.
6. Rake breaks (in half-I SWEAR)
7. Step in dog shit again (and you know what, multiply that a few more times)
8. Dad with leaf blower tells you that you suck at raking and have to redo it.
9. Dad with leaf blower blows his leaves all over what you raked.
10. Step in dog shit.

And all of that is a true story.

But with the dog shit stepping in I got new shoes! :)

Today:

Reminisced in childhood memories by getting kicked out of the house. Sat in my backyard and remembered how I used to have my own imaginary land back there (yes I created it after reading Teribithia). All you need to know is that there was this REALLY HOT PRINCESS in my land.

And I also watched A Series of Unfortunate Events and tried to fix my DVD player to watch Inception again but of course it figures that its actually goddamn broken.

But about the Series: still don't think it was that bad an adaptation of the books and now I wonder where I left my complete set of the books because I LOVE them.

Wow… my overloaded and unrested brain just gave me an idea for a parody of that Land Down Under song called “Lawn Down Under”… Yep. The guy with the pitchfork sings about his award winning lawn and how it keeps being ruined by those white gowned bugs with feathered wings…

Ugh… can't sleep… Been laying in bed the past few hours, thoughts fading in and out… Yet I feel incredibly drowsy. Kinda like how you're incredibly thirsty, but even drinking the entire ocean's worth of water doesn't satisfy the thirst. Oh, well…

Also I saw a very hot MILF in the checkout line. I put my aviators on and went “dat ass”

I had to go to this really long family event that was in a field and I kept finding scattered cow bones. I took the skull and jaw, one leg bone, and a vertebra, arguing it was for drawing practice in the future, but really I just thought it was pretty cool! (Although I will also draw it, of course.)

I also named her Cowssandra and remarked that they'd never be able to solve her murder now, ‘cause I moooo-ved her body and she had a spotted past from the start. I’m so grateful to have a family that puts up with me.

Exercise is still required. By which I mean a walk or something. Nothing excessive. Make sure you still have solids though. Flavour doesn't matter since its all synthetic anyway. I prefer the strawberry and banana ones though.

Actually ayesinback is absolutely right. The philosophy of “whether something needs changing” is always going to be “if we don't get much response, or if the response we get is ambivalent, we're not changing anything. If it really needs changing then there will be an overwhelming negative response.” I'm not sure that just saying stuff in this forum thread counts, since it's a disorganized sort of response and it might not carry over neatly into whatever metrics they're collecting. However if they can see a neat list of numbers that's a more succint argument.

Thank you for your attempt to stir up crap, but that was a problem when Wowio was owned and managed by Platinum Studios, who were the ones not paying people and messing up business management. Comparing Platinum's problems in the past with Wowio currently doesn't make much sense. What IS the thing that you're saying isn't changing, exactly? Because as far as I can see, the issue in the past was that they were behind on payments, whereas now they're…. you don't like them?

I liked the focus right up until I drove one, horrible cars to drive. Civics however… best car I've ever driven and I've driven a lot. Shame I can't drive at the moment, I miss it.

Today I was wondering how plausible it would be to change the colour of a flamingo. I know flamingos turn pink beacuse of the algae that they eat which has a chemical in it which turns their feathers pink, so when they don't eat it they go white.

I'm currently wondering if I somehow injected food dye or some other colour changing chemical, and fed it to a flamingo, if I could somehow get a rainbow hippie tie dye flamingo…

Ugh… experimenting with tilesets in Darkbasic Pro. The concept seems easy enough. One array telling the computer which graphic goes where, another telling the computer if the tile can be moved through or not, and the last array for any objects in the scene. However, coding the thing is making my brain overheat… I wish I was younger now as younger minds retain knowledge easier than older minds. Apparently the human brain becomes more hard wired with age…
