Fifteen is old enough to practice good judgement. 15-year-olds can be mature in different ways, and if he's able enough to have actually done the script kiddie things he did, he was able to make a judgement (a poor one, as it turned out) about what he should do with that ability. I'm sorry but I won't accept “being a teenager” as an excuse for damaging actions. What he did was immature, but that has nothing to do with his age at the time and I won't forgive him on that principle.

I am one of the people who do not really forgive many times, because I believe that true forgiveness is forgive and forget.

It can be very frightening when young people are very smart and bored and have access to affect things way beyond their personal circle. They know that they're doing wrong, but there is a defiance to even consider consequences that is typical of youth. As someone said earlier, we've all been guilty of being “dicks” one way or another at 15.

Fifteen, in my opinion, is not “young” when it comes to knowing right or wrong. But appreciating how dominoes could fall? Fifteen is young.

I think forgiveness is in order, but I can't blame anyone for not forgetting.

Right now I know the full story about this business with Kyo, I was under the impression we had some master hacker on our hands. He did it in the past (as Rafiki says: “It doesn't matter, it's in the past now!”) and nowadays he seems like just a normal guy trying to run a website. I wanted to wait until I knew the whole story before making an real decision on the matter. I'm not going to abandon ship on CF becase of it, but its good to know.

(in fact, I made heaps of stupid mistakes at that 15. I was a Deviantart whore and wrote about personal stuff on the web and got suspended from school because I wrote about teachers because I thought I was invincible, sooo proof of concept)

This week has been horrible. It's been slower than last week, and i didn't go to the gym at all (planned week off), and i couldn't get up in time for work at all this week. Luckily they kept assuming i was at the gym, like i normally am. I really am lucky most of the time.

I'm going to the doctor on monday, he'll tell me how much longer i'm out of “work”. If i'm able to come off work, i'm volunteering for a six month deployment to the desert from september to march. best time to go, average temperature is 70* instead of march to september where it's 115.

Then hopefully, i come back in march, and can reapply for the spec op job that i've been trying to get for the last couple years. Denied me until 2012 cause i took a bonus. even tho the rules say i can do that. jerks. making up supp rules…

I told the guy I'd send him a copy of a lithograph he saw and wanted to use for a “post-rapture” piece; and if there was anything specific he wanted illustrated, I'd be happy to oblige. The issue is themed “SeNihilism Issue: in praise of old punks, cranks and crazies” . Which would probably be perfect for me, as I'm dating one (old punk), and show signs of becoming one myself (old punk, crank, and/or crazy- take yer pick). But the stuff is due the first week of June, and I'm not sure I can crap out anything I'd be happy with before then.

The world better not end tomorrow, I've got to move to Florida next month!

We have had many genuine users test our security before who have been very helpful. Believe me, there is a gigantic difference between a script-kiddie attack and people who are genuinely out to help.

I still find Kyo more trustworthy than the staff at Drunk Duck. At least he's quick to fix bugs and issues with the site when reported to him. I can't say the same for this place. I've reported a ton of massive security issues in the past, and none of them have been fixed, at all. I can still execute code in PQs, for example. Do you have any idea the kind of horrible shit somebody could do with that?

Maybe I'd be more inclined to agree that Kyo is a script kiddie, and Volte a master programmer if either showed signs indicative of those two things. As far as I go, Kyo seems to be an apt programmer who mae a few dick moves in the past, and Volte is a coder with elementary knowledge who cut and ran at the first sign of a check.

edit: Really if we're going to cut things into black and white, I'd say someone is better off on a site where the admin was known to have defaced a site or two in his day than one that couldn't give a shit less about their users even after it becomes an issue.]

My month:

Grandma dies. I travel 2400 miles (with three kids in diapers, mind you) to get to the funeral. (We get stuck in three airports during this journey, but I'm not even getting into all that.) We arrive, go to funeral. Next day I'm in a hospital for potential staff infectin, running a wicked fever. I get on meds, they release me, we all race home in another grueling journey.

We get home and it's all over, right? Wrong. The antibiotics I got on made my immune system crash apparently, because I caught some weird bug I can't even pronounce. Two days later all of my kids have it too. Now we're all on a new medication, and it's making me hallucinate.

To top it all off, I haven't been able to draw for my comic in weeks. I've got a cover and one page uploaded. Some comic.

I'm going back to bed, wake me up when CF and tD stop having forum pissing contests. Contests! That reminds me - I'm hopping on over to that radio play contest thread to see if there's any news.

I mean it's not like I thought it'd be a GREAT game, I just knew playing a co-op game with a friend is always really fun to me, unless the game is REALLY…REALLY.

Okay let's break down what I got from Fable III co-op
90% of it is story. The second player has no effect on the story. At all. They are ignored at all times. Any new costumes you can buy or are given, are not given to the second player. Okay, that's 90% of the game sort of useless, but you know…
5% is running around constantly. Well okay, at least the game doesn't lag because you have to run Windows Live on top of Steam, which would make moving about REALLY….REALLY.
REALLY. BAD.

4% is loading screens. Woo.
1% is combat. So you'd expect “So only 1% of the game is good huh.”
