I just found out people think my comic is Christian related because its called Gods Almighty, and won't read it because they believe that. D:
Clever editing effects with the “no” there ^^
I think it's because Americans are typically a
lot more sensitive about religion than us. Whereas most Aussies couldn't give a stuff either way, anything with “god” in it or anything vaguely biblical is more significant to many of them (not all, obviously), weather they're pro or anti religion.
That would make a cool topic for the D&D thread, people love to argue about that sort of thing, but I wonder how you'd frame it…?
“Are some cultures more sensitive about religion?”
“Are you really an atheist if you still worry about the religion of others?”
It's funny. I remember reading that the classic song Heaven (Must Be There) by the Aussie band Eurogliders got a really weird reception when they toured in the states. It was really popular with religious radio stations and some people were really put off by it because they thought it was about Christian themes, when in reality they were just using words like “Heaven” and “Eden” as convenient metaphors, as you'd expect.

If I still had the time to update my comic frequently, I'd move my main comic site to a self hosted one and mirror on DD again, just because DD is a bit draggy and slow for readers at the moment if they want to go through your archive. Plus, I'd want
full control over every aspect.
But I'd still hang around the forums of course.
