I dunno what's going on there, I've had a look at his user account and at the posts he made, nothing seems wrong with any of them. It looks like it's doing that to every page a post of his is on, even old ones. I've sent an email asking them to fix it quickly please, so hopefully it will work later today maybe?

I have an old bug that's surfaced in a new place for you guys.

When the site first rolled out, there were issues with the text and images scrunched up , moved over or overlapping one another. Well I've found one in a spot that's not been mentioned (To my knowledge) I tripped over it by accident.

In the UCP under “forums” (where the signature can be edited?) The edit box is way off to the right and the text about size and such is to it's left rather than above or below it.

BRAVO !!??!
I have been informed as FACT! That is is a conspiracy against me. Someone is creating these bugs, attaching them to me in order to drive me away from the site.
Even paranoids have enemies.
I knew everyone was against me but honestly a PQ saying “GO AWAY! We hate you and your sorry excuses for comics that we refuse to read!” would have been sufficent.
As if I'm really worth a conspiracy or even a stupid bug.

Welp, I fixed it! Bravo it had to do with an error in your signature. In one of your URLs, you had put an http:/ instead of an http:// …. yup, that's it, that's what broke the pages so bad they spat out 502 errors.

A lot of thanks to skool for finding and fixing this bug. We're still not quite sure why this broke the page, but we've added a temporary fix now, where the system should automatically add an additional forward-slash to your link if you're missing one in your sig.

Maybe it's me, but every page I've been surfing on Drunkduck in the last day or so has some kinda pop-up, apparently. My blocker's stopped each and every one so I don't know what they correspond to, but I don't recall this happening before.

“You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process,” he added. “That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle.”

Duuude, don't tell ‘em your blocker’s stopping the ads! Now they're gonna find a way to get around that.

This should definitely NOT be happening. We don't allow any pop-up ads on our site. We're contacting our ad provider to investigate it. Thanks.

Im not completely against pop up advertisement. As long as its porn. (Joke)
I dont know if this is supposed to be so or if it is because I live in the netherlands but I haven't had any ads all day. The boxes just remain blank. I'm not using ANY kind of addblocker, just plain Firefox without any steroids or implants.

I wish I'd taken a screencap, but I used to constantly get these big fullscreen pop-up ads for the Captain America movie. Hasn't happened lately but it was pretty annoying.

I recently tried to updatemy current comic and put inforit update a page aday for five days but all the pages came up at onceeven though the proper go live dates werestill at the top?

The favicon is still a weird corrupt .ico file.
Here is a cleaned up version that will work on anything (PNG):

Yes I complained about it last week (As did a couple others after me). ANNOYING! I don't need roll overs taking over what I'm doing on a page just because my mouse managed to stray across it's thumbnail.
I didn't notice it before now, but yeah all the ad areas are blank currently - interesting.

Couple of points, I've waited till now and these may have been discussed elsewhere if so apologies;
A. Favorites–the number listsed varies by day of week and time of day, doesn't reflect if I added a new one or not it seems arbitrary and changes at will.
B. Can the method of listing favorites be set and done with or is it going to continue to be a choice?
C. Color Scheme, who decided yellow and poison green made reading easy? For the sake of my eyestrain PLEASE go back to the old forum colors.

Do NOT meddle in the affairs of Dragons. Because, YOU are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

You can be sure that when the forums colours are sorted that posting will increase dramatically.

Adding “credits” in the credit area of the comic control panel doesn't actually post he credits TO any place, there's no place those appear publicly.

Linking to a forum thread using the “link” for an individual post just sends people to a 502 error, like so:http://www.drunkduck.com/forum/topic/169974/?page=2%232949017#2949010

Since the “bugs we've fixed recently” posts seem to have fallen quiet, I thought here would be the best place to come.
…When are they planning on fixing the comic editor so that it works in Firefox? Because I still can't edit my comic layout, which is really frustrating since it's the feature I was looking forward to the most, and I'm bored of plain white.

It works in Firefox for me.
Except I can't write in a hexidecimal code directly on the form. I have to bring up the color palette and write it in there.

Gotta update the first post… hope I'll have time tonight… lots to do with Oz gone. :[ Edit: ON VACATION

You can open multiple PQs in tabs, but doing an action on one of them means you can't do actions on any of the other currently open ones. (I get those CRSF errrors.) You have to re-open them and deal with them individually.

And with regards to the pop-up ads, my computer is plagued by them whenever I load The Duck, or login. And every time I close them down, as soon as I go anywhere else on the site, a new one shows up.

I've had several people I follow who are still having comic page personalization issues. Anathema's creator, though I don't think he's been through here, and Jemelis of TOTK2. Neither of them are able to personalize their looks, so this isn't an isolated thing, and it was beyond me on how to help them further than the efforts I made. I don't know what browswer either of them use…so I can't provide any further information in that regard.

I'm almost afraid to go and try to change anything about my own comics now, for fear that the new changes won't work! LOL!

Yeah. I don't want to touch things either. When I first added a gif header image to one of my comics weeks ago, it worked fine, but when I try to customize other comics, I'm losing the transparency no matter what I do. It has also never worked for link images, which sucks. I would much prefer using creative images for buttons than rectangular ones.

It's just so frustrating! I want to start a new comic but I'm so put off because I don't want to do it until I can start it all up properly with a nicely designed page, but that doesn't seem possible at the moment. And my existing comics just look bland and uninspiring.

If you're the comic owner/assistant then queued up pages will be visible to you when you read your comic. If you log out then they're not there. It's confusing. I do think they intend to rework that system.

My comic is http://www.drunkduck.com/Sex_or_Something_Like_It/ . I'm having trouble viewing some of my pages (from 7 to 36) as instead there appears that red x image. I've recently lost my library of files on my personal computer, and I would like to access the files in their original uploaded sizes to replace my lost archive. Can a moderator help me to access to view these files I uploaded? Thanks to anyone who can help.

I had a look at some of those in your archive. Most of them were uploaded between mid-Jan and the end of March. I'm not sure if you're aware but at the end of March DD suffered a data loss where everyone's images uploaded between mid-Jan and March 31 were lost completely. People had to re-upload them. If you never did that then I'm afraid they're gone forever. :[ Sorry.

That is pretty weird about the favorites. I don't even know what to tell you. I added it to the list but I think that “stuff one person reported” is lower priority for them than “stuff lots of people reported”… so I'd be interested if more people are having this problem. (That goes for all the “one person reported…” problems)

I think generally people prefer to have a choice regarding list sorting. Though people do want the system to remember their preference, that's something on Wowio's to-do list.

For some of the people who have been having trouble customizing their page with various image problems… you can add me as an assistant and send me an email (skoolmunkee at gmail dot com) with the images, instructions, whatever. That way I can either experience the problems you're having and troubleshoot a little bit (I'll do it on a test comic first!) or describe specific problems to Wowio, or you'll get the layout you want. :]

ARRRGHHH The forums text editor is INFURIATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has decided
that you can't
do lists any more???

I've just spent half an hour fighting this god damn text editor to try and make the first post look READABLE again and it's not letting me do anything. Please just give us back the old plain box arrrrghhhhh

If you can turn off javascript in your browser you totally get rid of the text box editors!
At least that's how it works on my android phone. It's magical!
