My $1600 vet bill has me feeling overwhelmed. I put it on a zero interest (for six months) credit card. But 1600 in six months is a scary proposition especially knowing I'll be unemployed in a month and a half.

I started teaching myself how to make jewelry and work with wire and clay. I couldn't think of any other way to earn money aside from begging. My “Rattery” has over 600 followers on Facebook, so I thought maybe I could make rat-themed (even custom) pendants.

I also applied for a full-time job with the county as “Communications Officer” and they actually responded with a list of testing dates to start the screening process. I can't recall the last time I got past the application step for full time work. A glimmer of hope, however small, is encouraging. This seasonal job stuff is killing me. I have lofty dreams of health and dental insurance.

I really hate to ask for help, but a couple people suggested, so I set one up.

Gortys and Sasha's Vet Fund

I've been assisting rat owners. Answering questions, providing experiences, etc. for almost two decades and have only put money into it, never been compensated. So, I guess I shouldn't feel too bad to accept a little help if it's offered.

I also frequently donate to my friends' and acquaintences' campaigns for various things. That never bothered me, but asking for help kinda does. -_-

So I'm in Belgrade in Serbia now.
From Athens I went 5 hours North to Thessaloniki by train to meet up with my friend Milosh and his gf. We stayed a day there and explored in the heat…

Then we traveled out of the country north through the Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia, then into Serbia. We stopped at Nis for a few days and looked around, staying at Milosh's family apartment there.

Then Milosh and I went north again to Belgrade because I needed to be there to pick up my emergency credit card (an ATM in Athens ate it!). We stayed in his apartment in the city there for a few days and looked around,

Then I went north AGAIAN by bus to Novi Sad to explore and meet with a friend. I explored a few days and now I'm back in Belgrade at Milosh's place again. We will probably travel some more though 😁

Got a flat tire on the way to work because God has a nasty sense of humor. Now I get to lose wages and pile up more debt onto Debt Mountain.

Anyone want to buy a kidney? I have an extra one.

I think that our (I include myself) error is to think that as soon as you upload a comic, an avalanche of readers/viewers will instantly come. This hobby requires time, dedication and most of all, passion.

Keeping an entire litter of pet rats is great fun until they all get old and your apartment is a nursing home for rodents.

I have one in a coma now. (Completely active and normal when I left for work this morning.) It is the weirdest thing. He literally looks to be in the soundest sleep ever and cannot wake up. (I held a noodle by his nose, and he licked his lips and made a fist. Otherwise, unresponsive.)

Sorry your rate died :(
At least it was a very peaceful death. That's the best you can wish for.

I'm over halfway through my first week back at work. I'm happy to be home again because I love my own space and I'm laaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzyyyyyy, but I DO like going out and exploring, so maybe I'll do that more instead of being such a creature of routine?

Mix it up a bit, rather than doing long ass trips for weeks on end, do a weekend or week here and there. Naturally can be a pain if long flights are involved but I'm sure you can plan accordingly.

I was thinking more of just simple adventures in my own city… Going to see interesting places, museums etc. If I can stir myself I will!

Why is “The Bachelore” in all my news feeds on all sorts of sites all the time? I'd never watch such shit! Is it strangely personalised to me, is the show really that popular, or is it being massively promotes?
I'm inclined to beleive the third option.

Sometimes it's good just to go out and walk in a new direction, take a bus, whatever, without much expectation of what you'll find. A lack of ‘places of interest’ doesn't always mean you won't find an interesting place. If not, at least you've had a nice stroll.

Just finished making the background for the red carpet DD Awards wallpaper. Waiting on a few people to get me their characters before I piece this baby together.

Also, I have managed to pile way to many things on my plate as per usual. I hope I make all the deadlines…

Whelp, in one month, I'll be unemployed again. Pretty much dreading that.

I thought I had a good job interview last week, but I haven't heard anything more, so I'm pretty sure that lead is dead in the water.

Trying not to think about these things too much, because it's causing anxiety crying, and the tears burn my eyes.

Wow! Really?

I was inspired by the 15 minute wonder to make a joke post about working from home and earning loads and hour. Think I feel asleep typing as it wasn't finished and I don't remember pressing send. AHH old age strikes again. πŸ˜‚

Although I do work from home but my income leaves something to be desired so far. Still it's an income and will build in time, which should make it worth the effort.
